I've worked at 7 Starbucks locations throughout California and Arizona and was lucky enough to help train the team for the Grand Opening of Florence Blvd location back in 2009. During my tenure with Starbucks, I developed a strong appreciation for excellent customer service when I see it. Unfortunately, that was not what I experienced on my first visit to this new location. The young lady (Jessica) was very rude after I waited 45 minutes in the drive thru, even when I tried to lighten her mood by cracking a joke. It was not at all what I expected of a brand new store, it was disheartening. When someone working in customer service would rather be anywhere but there, it shows. It completely ruins the customer's experience, which is the opposite of what we all expect when we visit Starbucks.
Luckily, the location is close to my house so I gave it one more shot. This time I went inside. The cafe was surprisingly large for the location with plenty of parking, something that has always been a problem at the Florence Blvd store. The young man at the register (I didn't catch his name) was full of energy, friendly, and welcoming. If I decide to visit this location again, Starbucks has him to thank for it. I received excellent customer service and it lifted my hopes for the success of the store. My first visit honestly left me worried the team working there might all be like Jessica, and if I had received the same service during my second visit, despite being less than a mile from my house, I would not have gone back to this location.
So thank you to the young man who took my order that day. I will be returning to this location soon, I will just make sure I have the time to go inside, not through...
Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars I would ! I had an awful experience here a couple of weeks ago and I debated on whether or not I even wanted to complain but I ultimately decided I needed to bc my experience here was unacceptable and completely unprofessional first and foremost I understand working in customer service is difficult and not for the weak so I try to be patient and considerate when going out I ordered two drinks just açaís when I went to pick them up my drinks were not ready I waited around still not ready by then 30 minutes had passed and my drinks were not ready yet not sure if someone mistakingly took them or what but I go and ask for a manager the manager Rocio comes out and has an attitude from the start of our conversation and I am not the type of person to argue back with any food worker bc I understand the stress they go through in a day she was rude from the start and said there was nothing she could do I ended up leaving without my drinks but before I left I heard Rocio under her breath call me a stupid native and said I was unable to place an order properly bc they don’t have good service on the rez I was appalled hurt and just plain embarrassed I had to leave and cry in my car I would not recommend this place to anyone just go the extra few miles to the Starbucks on Florence maybe Rocio shouldn’t manage here if it makes her that stressed and...
Read moreFriendly service, beautiful Cafe inside that is quite large, plus a covered patio outside. My first visit just now.
Both bathrooms were unlocked (a plus!) And the washing sinks were in the hallway outside the bathrooms.
It wasn't busy including drive-thru because it's 230pm but service on delivery was a bit slow.
My name wasn't called out when my order was placed in the counter (completed) like the other customers were That last part only matters if there is another person with your name (my name is common) or if you're touching other peoples' drinks to see if is yours.
I like this Cafe and I will be back. It us 100 times nicer and larger than the cafe on Florence Blvd, especially the open easy parking. (Florence staff are more efficient by that parking is kamakazi.)
Side Note: I prefer cafes for several reasons. The store kiosks seem to not give you your points on promos, plus seating and the environment are iffy in Safeway and Frys Marketplace in CG. Frys has an oldee guy that's in there for hours all day everyday, like a vagrant or someone living in their car or a mobile closeby without good a/c...
