I would like to say that I am not trying to give such a bad review because of the price but it is the price the tipped me over.I have a love for Italian food (especially Manicotti). I have been to many extremely nice and poor Italian restaurant but this one is the worst. The appearance of the Boscos comes off as a hole in the wall, side street mom n pops "Italian" restaurant. Inside there are random pictures of whatever. The polite and nice waitresses were dressed like the place looked (unprofessional) in blue jeans, one had holes in them both wearing a random shirt that they would wear at school.
The restaurant was clean and the service was fast. I ordered Manicotti with mushrooms on top. I received a small literal half a cup of minestrone soup that was more like water with lentils and hard celery in it. No taste whatsoever I had to add salt. I do believe it was home made though :) The salad was good it wasn't that cheap salad. I enjoyed there sweet tea (being from Oklahoma). Manicotti being the main course was also small in portion tasting like cast iron (possibly from the way the cook cooked the mushrooms). The noodle was under cooked so it was a little tuff, the canned sauce didnt have any taste and it needed some more sauce. In all the Italian restaurants that I have been to I have never added salt to my dish until now... It was seriously that tasteless.
You see the crazy thing about all this is that everyone that know me knows that im not a picky eater so please dont take this post as nit picking but is the truth.
The total for my small lunch came to more than 19 bucks...Seriously 19 bucks? I can see charging me 1.50 for the drink and a buck for the mushroom but the main course is 15 plus bucks and it was the lowest quality ever.
I COULD HAVE GONE TO OLIVE GARDEN AND ATE LIKE A KING. BUT NO I WANTED TO SUPPORT THE SMALLER LOCAL BUSINESS!
They have wifi but its not open to the public.
Again this is an honest to heart review not a hate review. I hope they...
Read moreHaven't been to this restaurant in years living in Casper. Had a lunch sandwich once back in 2009 only because I believe one of the younger daughters was a service call for me working for the cable company Bresnan and she gave me a $20 gift card that I used for a sandwich one day. Planned a special dinner for a relative but felt the place was too crowded and too warm and hot!!! AC??.She was alarmed you had to go through the "Kitchen" to the bathroom?? You couldn't have a intimate conversation at all. I made a reservation for two and the like 18 year old waitress couldn't have cared less and seated us at a table for four is that the Italian way?? Totally, inconsiderate 😒 They had like 5 people doing service for a area of about 100 feet but took forever to take simple orders. It seemed like it took 3 people to figure out their POS system which is crazy for a authentic Italian restaurant. The food ?? The appetizers were overcooked. The main dishes lack luster at best. I was hoping for some of that "Godfather" "Bronx Tale" melt in your mouth stuff but got more of a throw it in the microwave type food from a bad Gordon Ramsey "Kitchen Nightmares" type food. I can't understand why people keep spending exhorbedant money here?? The prices they charge are not worth the food. Will probably never recommend or vist again. I know they've been around a long time but I think the young staff doesn't appreciate good food and its worn off on the chef's. I wasn't going to do it but do appreciate good service and did leave a $60 cash tip for a $156.00 bill to the waitress because she did refer to my sister in law as "Princess" the entire evening and I loved that!!! 😍 I hope that the other 4 people hovering and clearing her table...
Read moreI was hopeful with all the great reviews this place had, but sadly was not what I was expecting. At all. The atmosphere was really cool! Very mom and pop which we liked. Maybe it is just because we had a larger group? Idk, but the food was not great. The pictures look amazing but the taste just is not there. My 7 year old loves spaghetti but refused to eat it. My dad ordered the hot shrimp pasta, hes a big guy, former military, he will eat anything, but couldnt get through even half the meal. My brother ordered ravioli and got 5 ravioli. My other brother ordered the tortalini and he said the sauce was basically just tomato paste. Alfredo wasn't terrible, but Raccas is much much better! Bread was awful, had a funny smell. Salad was not super fresh. Raccas salad dressing is 10x better. We had a group of 10. Called ahead, got a reservation. We were there and seated for an hour and forty five minutes before we got our first meal. By time we got the last meal the first 5 people in the group were already done eating and we had been there for two hours and 20 minutes. Being there with a 2, 7 and 9 year old the wait was rough and it was getting late. Waitress was pretty unprofessional but in a weird playful way? I didn't know how to feel about it. Almost as if it was okay to be rude so long as you try to be funny about it? We won't...
