RAVES: The Cottage Café is a true gem for anyone who appreciates fresh, thoughtfully crafted food, all served in an atmosphere that’s just as charming as the food is delicious. The place truly lives up to its name, with a quaint, cottage-like vibe that’s cute and welcoming. You won’t find anything fried here; instead, everything is made from quality ingredients, making each bite truly satisfying. Their sandwiches come on what tastes like homemade bread! My workplace has even had The Cottage cater our lunches, and it’s always a hit—everyone loves it!
RANTS: It is a little on the pricier side, but I feel it’s mostly worth it for the quality. My one disappointment, though, is the recent shift to counter service instead of having a waitstaff. You now have to order at the counter and pay upfront, and while it’s efficient, I miss the personalized experience and being checked up on and no pressure to know what you want right away. I didn’t get a refill on my drink when I really needed one, which wouldn’t have been an issue with the old system. I’d really love to see them bring back a waitstaff for a more enjoyable, full-service dining experience. Still, the food keeps me coming back, and I highly recommend giving The...
Read moreI've rated 2 stars due to the rude manner in which I was treated. This place is not a place I would recommend going if you have small children, and that was how I was treated. The food was very good and the price was not bad. That being said the environment was cramped and crowded. I was settled at a both table. And there was so many decorations placed all around like small statues, books, trays, plants, vases, candles etc. that my 1 year old wanted to touch and move and look at it all. I spend much of my meal telling her no, due to the highchair they provided being broken in such a way I couldnt use it for fear it would fall apart if anyone way to use it. It's fine if you like eating a meal in someone's antique/junk shed. I will have to think very hard twice before going back there again. I truly wish I wasn't made to feel unwelcome and trouble by the staff there,...
Read moreStopped for lunch on the way to Montana from Colorado.. we had parking available right outside this quaint and cozy house turned restaurant. When you walk in your welcomed by the decor you would see when walking into your grandparents cabin. You order and pay at the front making it fuss free. All the staff we encountered were super friendly but let me tell ya, the food is so good! It’s delivered to the table ready “to go” in styrofoam containers (my only qualm). I got the Mona Lisa Panini with cucumber dill salad and my boyfriend got he tandoori chicken sandwhich with the same salad and we were so happy. Such a beautiful meal in a gem of a place during a long roadtrip. We will definitely be back to try more on our next roadtrip and highly recommend you try it...
