Scrumdiddlyumptious! Always! This is one of my top 3 favorite Indian restaurants. I really love the buffet and so does my baby's dad period we are adventurous eaters and we have been to many Indian restaurants. I recommend this place. They have built a nice new open patio on the side of the building. It's beautiful. They must have paid a lot of money to have that built. And it has four outdoor heaters down the center aisle table and chairs on each side of them. It has a nice calming fountain also if they have it plugged in. You can plug it in yourself also period but the food I just can't even find the right words to describe the food the lamb is always so tender and the goat is tender as well and the chicken and everything it's just fabulous. I've been to other Indian restaurants that don't cook the goat long enough. It has to be boiled for a long long time before it's ready to fall off the bone . I am an AB negative blood type, so I am to avoid red meats. The following meats are beneficial to my blood type. Lamb, goat, rabbit and turkey. I do have corned beef once a year sometimes I've had it twice. I like prime rib and top sirloin but once a year is good enough. I cook Indian food at home on occasions. Not all the time it's too much sodium to have all the time. And they add salt at these restaurants even though they don't have. It tastes fine with all other spices these dishes are made with. Love love love this restaurant haven't had a bad experience yet....

Best Indian food in the East Bay! This place is great because it is consistent. It feels like a family place and we are always remembered and welcomed. The owner is great and often is back in the kitchen helping out and making sure the food is A+. Mamta works the front and she is like a mother or an auntie, always happy to see my family and serves us little things we ask for. The service is not slow, it is the restaurant that is busy! Busy because the food is great at a fair price. Every time I go, it is great. That is important to me because many Indian food places are good once, but not again because the cook has changed. Not here, same cooks each time I visit! I mostly go for dinner, but have been on a weekend lunch as well. The prices are right, and the quality of the food is excellent. We eat chicken tikka masala ( we order mild for our son) so crazy good and full of deep flavor as well as tender pieces of chicken, garlic naan is a must...., lamb korma is my husbands favorite, goat curry, veggie samosas, daal tadka, and my husband is the kind of eater who likes everything so the lunch buffet is great of for him. At the buffet, you will find, fish, lamb, goat, chicken , vegetarian, etc...try this place, you will not be sorry! If you go for lunch buffet, it will be crowded! Remember, great food is worth waiting for...family run, full of love and good energy, this food will leave you happy and coming...

Their naan was so good! I ordered just a regular/original one, and it came piping hot, slightly glistening, flavorful, and wonderfully crispy. They sold me on JUST their naan, guys!

Besides that, I came on a weekday afternoon for lunch and after some deliberation, took my server's recommendation for "prawn curry" on the menu (along with the aforementioned naan). The curry comes with a bowl of rice, so you COULD go without an extra order of naan... but having tried both, I would really recommend springing for the naan. The rice is rather dry and flavorless, unfortunately, whereas the naan is perfect. The curry itself was hot and tasty. The flavor was mild and felt authentically homemade. I wish it was served in a greater portion size, is all. The texture was perfect throughout, and the prawns (which are practically just large shrimp) were succulent and delicious.

There was only one server in the whole restaurant, so he was pretty busy taking orders, verifying pickup orders, ferrying dishes from the kitchen to tables, and handling miscellaneous tasks besides. It makes sense that there's a hiring sign in the window. That said, he did a great job and was kind and very considerate, despite a markedly accented English. Thanks, dude!

Given the price, rice, and overall experience of the curry, I'd have ranked this place just fine at 4 stars, but that naan experience bumps...

I didn't know this place was that popular. Customers were constantly in and out. And the phone was ringing off the hook with take out orders. I made my first visit on Easter Sunday and was seated right away. The indoor seating area was not too large. However, there was a large outdoor seating area. Inside the kitchen the men were busy cooking the delicious meals. In the dining area the women were busy serving customers. Service is just average and a bit chaotic because there didn't seem to have enough help. One short lady who was really adorable was doing most of the work. She was taking orders, serving, cleaning and busing. Although she didn't smile, you could feel her positive energy and enthusiasm. I wanted to take a picture of hers and give her a good review but she refused. The food I ate was delicious. The vegetable samosas we're not oily. They came with the mint sauce and tamarind sauce. I liked that they came in their individual saucer plates which was more sanitary, as supposed to big bottles shared by all customers. The mint sauce was my favorite. The tamarind sauce was too sweet and lacked that tangy touch. My main dish was rice and chicken vindaloo which was tasty but not spicy enough - even though spicy was requested. The chicken was all boneless which was a plus. Overall it was a good experience and I plan to come back to taste more of their dishes.

Nice Indian spot with a reasonable lunch special and plenty of parking. Went in on a Thursday for lunch for two and was a little surprised to see it completely empty with limited order traffic. We sat down by the booth and ordered a lunch combo and a lamb korma. The lamb was a bit dry in both cases but the sauces and flavors were otherwise there. We ordered the lunch special with a garlic naan (but should note that the naan itself wasn’t the most flavorful—could barely taste the garlic, though it was perfectly charred). Note, the combo is not on the menu and you only know it’s there if you see it walking in. There are three options veggie, lamb, and chicken curry with a side of naan, potatoes, and rice. Since there was no one else to serve, the server was attentive but really couldn’t explain the options (nor wanted to, to be honest). Would come again if we desire an Indian food fix but probably as an order out, rather than a dine in.
