The following review was deleted. I left the most "important" part of it up for you and "Y " so who courageously jumped into action and spoke up when he saw me filling empty containers of water making a big deal out of the situation and involving you so now I (can) come in once a week and fill 3 or 4 containers.
I want to use this time to explain something. Not including writing this review, I've called CS many times to express my good and not good experiences @ In N Out. While most people call to complain, I make a real effort to call with compliments.
I used to come into this location on average, once or twice a month and I would keep my receipt in my car so when I came in the next time I would simply hand it to the cashier and they would be 100% sure to get my order right. So that was part of the frustration when practically every time it wouldn't be right. I know you are right I'm making a huge deal out of extra pickles and onions. I guess I had this bizarre notion that with bringing in the receipt, calling with both compliments and complaints for several months there might be an effort to make the burgers like I requested. rarely would this happen unless one woman who I mentioned "They never make the burgers right even when I bring in the receipts" she would leave the cash register, go back and specifically told the burger assembles how many onion slices I wanted and how many layers of pickles I wanted. I don't remember her name off hand but I will see her smiling and get her name in this review.
So the point is, that a few months ago (mid-late 2015) I got so fed up with this that I get an order (burger & cheeseburger or burger & fries or burger & shake) once every few months now. I don't bother asking for extras and as the customer, I must tell you, I find this completely absurd to not see them on my food when I get it.
So, Good job on being so quick to react when a customer was getting water (it's free btw) and after months and months of going back to the counter and asking to have this or that put on it i gave up. Thanks again.
Attn: InNOut Corp.,Mgmt./staff at the San Leandro location,
Really don't want to acknowledge what a xxxxx, xxxxx job all of you @ SL do on a daily basis. The food is always xxxxxxxxx or xxxxxxxxxxx depending on how long my fries are waiting for the burgers on the pass or vica versa.
Since I get the same thing everyday and to make it easier for me and the cashier, I try to bring in a past receipt, hand it to the cashier and obviously is not appreciated.
I once hoped that my knowledge of INO paying a living salary for the employees work is accurate. Not sure if benefits are offered, just that many other businesses similar to INO (hate to lump INO into a category of "Fast Food") as the employees usually are not treated very well and their working conditions are less than ideal. Now, I really do not understand why I had any concern at all.
In closing I just want to say that I cannot/will not go to any other business that offers this type of product/service. I am going to disregard...

Read moreHadn't been to one ages ago since I was a kid, so it's almost like it was my first time.
I love the simplicity of the menu, makes it super easy to order. On the flip side, though, you can request all sorts of things not specifically listed in the menu (i. e. The "secret menu"). Which is mostly just stuff like asking them to make cheese fries, or going bun-less / substituting lettuce instead. On top of that, you can even have them grill your patties with mustard or spicy peppers. Oh and I hear you can ask for grilled onions on your fries at no extra cost. Of course, it varies by location what stuff they will do, so don't expect that they'll have the same "secret menu" options.
Food was good, if a little cold due to having to wait in line forever. That wasn't on them, though, as almost every place has lines due to covid related closures of dining areas these days. Quality-wise, it's like if McDonald's spent a few more cents on getting slightly better ingredients. However, the patties themselves are another step up from the other ingredients. Taste-wise, they kinda remind me of burger from Wendy's or maybe some kind of old school burger joint.
Not bad overall. I'd go there...
