My husband, daughter and I went to Greenhouse Kitchen today around 3:10 pm. We each ordered a build-your-own burrito and a side. When I got down to the register to pay, I noted that the young man making our food approached the register with his gloves on. I thought that was kind of odd that he was touching the screen, then took my cash with food all over his gloved hands, but whatever. BUT, then he went BACK to the food and used THE SAME GLOVED HANDS THAT HE USED TO TOUCH THE SCREEN AND MONEY!!! I am a Registered Nurse, so perhaps my infection control standards are a little more stringent than a food service worker. However, the practice of touching money then touching food is almost guaranteed to spread illness. Because I wanted him to be aware that he was putting customers at risk for illness, I told him that what he was doing was not sanitary. The young man apologized. The manager then approached the register and said, "Do you want your food remade." I tried to express my concerns to the manager, but he kept interrupting me and repeatedly said, rudely, in a stern voice, over and over "Do you want your food remade." He said this phrase eight times in the course of the minute or two he was standing in front of me. He was visibly angry. He did not say any other words or phrases. It seemed he was enraged because I had educated the young man about standard infection control practices. Finally, because he didn't give me the chance to speak, I told him we would just take a refund. I then asked him what his name was, and he stated his name was Brett. My biggest issue with this incident was the way the manager (Brett) treated me. He did not apologize or try to make the situation right. I hope the young man will be more mindful of how he is handling customers' food in the future. I will never go back, and I used to...
Read moreNice and clean place. Food was served to my table from the guy pretty fast. Nothing to pick on in terms of service and atmosphere. A few selections on the food raised my eyebrows, however. I ordered the cured salmon poke bowl. The cured salmon was the smoked salmon from Costco, am I right? They were thinly sliced, had a similar look as the raw salmon but offered a slightly different delicate texture than the marinated or raw salmon I tried elsewhere, and most distinctly, it was very salty. Brown rice cooked correctly. Wasabi vinaigrette did not have any kick. No water was also an interesting choice. They only offered bottled drinks in the fridge. 3* was a bit harsh, but I just cannot...
Read moreAs someone with celiac this a dream come true. Great custom bowls with great variety without having to sacrifice quality of ingredients. I got a tofu salad with peanut sauce and spinach. The peanut sauce was great and had the perfect amount of spice. I also got the Mediterranean salad with cauliflower and chicken that was also delicious.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. I definitely plan on coming back here and I'm super excited to give the ahi tuna...
