Sub City — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

I typically go to the location in Waterloo. I decided to go to this location because it was closer to my job. Well.... the young lady that was propping the meats and cheese was a bit rude. I asked for a sub in a tub. The first issue, she didn't weigh my meat or cheese. She sliced 2 pieces of cheese and 3 pieces of meat. I think she caught wind that I know it was wrong and then she went back and redid the cheese and meat. I got to the toppings portion, I asked for the works. 1 slice is tomato, half a hand off lettuce, 1 slice of onion, a ton of peppers (weird). I asked for oil, vinegar, and Chipotle ranch. Then she added more lettuce after realizing the salad was thin! I get to the register and was asked do you want chips, drink, or brownie. No have a good day or nothing! We were very disappointed in the takeout order we received Nov. 19, 2020.

We ordered two veggie subs. The first had the wrong sauce on it — once my daughter dislikes a great deal. Both subs had way too much sauce on them. They were so covered in sauce that it had soaked the paper the subs were wrapped in. Each sub quickly crumbled apart.

On the second sub, something smelled disgusting. It must have been the bread. It smelled as if part of the bread had come in contact with rotten meat, and the stench had soaked into about half the bread (rotten meat smell on A VEGGIE SUB).

We ended up throwing away two-thirds...

My 1st Sub City sub in nearly 20 years!!!

Had moved out of state and missed Sub City SO much. Walked in this past Saturday and ordered the Sub City Special foot - long (#25) on white bread. Included Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham, Hard Salami, Capicola, Chopped Ham, and Provalone. Friendly staff, and VERY efficient in handling the crowd. Took the sandwich home and ate half of it, saving half for Sunday. Tasted equally fresh on Sunday.
