Yetla's Restaurant & Deli — Restaurant in Cedar Grove

Excellent food and great value at Yetla's. I lived in Southern California for many years eating very good Mexican food multiple times a week. My bar is pretty high. Yetla's is excellent and they give you a ton of food for the money. We ordered tacos al pastor, carnitas tacos, al pastor burrito and the torta cubana. It was all cooked well and tasted great. The meats were well seasoned, moist and tender. The carnitas and al pastor tacos were good and came with spicy salsa and mild salsa verde. The al pastor burrito was huge and also tasted good. It came a Pico de Gallo and some guacamole. The torta cubana was very unique and wasn't what I expected in a good way. It was also huge and had a variety of pork meats piled high in the torta with fresh sliced avocado. We went there right at dinner time and our food was ready in less than 10 minutes. There is seating there if you want to dine in but it's primarily a takeout place. I rated the atmosphere 5 stars but there's not much atmosphere needed for a takeout place with a few tables. This place IS IT!! I am a West Coast transplant and out there is where you get real Mexican food... well, it WAS, until I found Yetla's!! WOW! As authentic as it gets, from the atmosphere to the cuisine to the presentation. My very favorite is the need tacos. AAAAAMAZING because they're the real deal: soft corn tortilla, seasoned beef and minced cilantro, and it's served with a generous mound of limes and cucumber chunks. You get 2 sauces, too. Huge portions of everything, too. Oh! And the guacamole is OUTSTANDING!! Fresh, creamy, perfect. If you want real Mexican, (REAL Mexican) go here. Trust me. Ordered 2 orders of beef tacos and 1 order of chips & guacamole for pick up. Chips & guacamole were tasty. However the beef tacos were ground beef…. The menu clearly says it’s beef steak tacos but they gave ground beef. There is no other beef tacos on the menu, just beef steak tacos, so how can they make such a mistake by giving ground beef??? We were in a rush to go somewhere and didn’t occur to me until after, to check the pictures online which clearly show beef steak tacos. It was hard to eat as the ground beef was falling out of the tacos… and it’s not what is advertised/pictured/written on the menu. Will be coming to the store to demand an...
