Bush's Chicken — Restaurant in Cedar Park

Bravo Bush's! They did the right thing! For several years I have gotten the coupon in the mail for their liver/gizzards meal. A couple of years ago the coupon was to get the what was a just over $5 meal for just over $2. I noticed that the coupon is now for $5 and the meal is somewhere around 8 bucks. Well everything is gone up everywhere so that's no surprise however, although the prices have gone up everywhere what you get in the food has gone down in quantity at most places but not here at Bush's Chicken. I was surprised when I was handed by two meals to go because the bag was awfully heavy. before I drove off I had to make sure that I had gotten the right meals. I was stunned when I opened the boxes. There were more pieces than I had ever gotten in all my years of going. In addition to that their gizzards which used to be slightly tough were perfectly cooked! Their roles are always perfect and they're sweet tea if you have not had their sweet tea then you should. It's just some good old southern sweet tea! So although the price went up a little bit I have experienced receiving way more food than ever before. I think I ate off of my meal. Not really sure what we were expecting when we stopped here to get food. We were in the area and had to be somewhere but needed to pick up some food. Since neither of us had had Bush's Chicken we decided to give it a try.

We went through the drive thru and I have to be honest it's quite a strange set up. They have people come out and take your order and then you drive up and they will bring the food out to you. After they have given you the food do they take the money, kind of an odd and inefficient set up in my opinion. But they do have multiple cars waiting at the end of the drive thru, so maybe it works, not really sure yet.

The food was okay, I wouldn't say it was terrible but I also wouldn't say that it was amazing and I would come back. I do notice that in the paper, there are always coupons for this place, we just don't have one near our house. The menu is quite extensive for a fast food place, sort of makes it confusing when you are trying to order.

I would say there are other better fast food chicken places in and around the area, but it's not terrible and would probably be okay on some occasions. I wouldn't ever really say of all the places in the area this is a...

Visited this place about 2 weeks ago. Ordered our food and stood at the counter waiting for our drinks. Watched a girl go about her business cleaning up. She had a white rag/cloth that she was using to wipe down surfaces. She was holding the rag with a pair of serving tongs. When she was done she put the tongs on the counter where the young man who was getting our food proceeded to pick the tongs up and use them to get our rolls. I asked him to get another pair of tongs to use because the girl had been holding her cleaning rag with them. A man who said he was the manager told me it was ok because she wasn't using any chemicals to do her cleaning, that it was just hot water. I told him no it wasn't ok for her to use the tongs to hold her cleaning rag and then turn around and use them to serve food with. He kept sticking to his point that it was just hot water on the rag. He saw nothing wrong with it. I got the impression they do that sort of thing on a regular basis. I told him I bet that is a health code violation, he told me to go ahead a report it that they were due for an inspection anyway. He even gave me his business card. I will never go...
