I am not sure what happened to the food and services here. It was very disappointing. The first time I came here the food was impeccable. The puffy tacos were flavorful and had great texture. This time I brought my friend here and the experience was a complete 180. The puffy tacos I was served were hard like a brick and very oily. Almost Inedible. Barely much chicken in there. That’s not how puffy tacos are supposed to be.

I talked to a couple servers about the issue. They were very dismissive and said “the chef said that is how it should be. Nothing can be done about it. If you want something else, you’d have to order”. Absolutely laughable —I wonder if they even tasted the food. They made no effort to re-make it or fix their mistakes whatsoever. I asked if the chef could check the food himself. He said “no, the answer will be the same”. Then followed up with “even if we re-make it, it will be the same. The tortillas are from the same batch”. Never have I ever been to a restaurant where the owner / chef is so unwilling to take feedback from customers, especially the food quality was blatantly inconsistent. Not worth the time to visit a place where you have to deal with rude people and being served...

Beautiful venue with great food options for adults and kids. Cocktails are on the pricier side and are not much higher than average. Draft selection is limited to what is commonly available around Austin. It’s very family friendly which I love to see. I subtracted a half a star due to it being on the pricier side and SOME of the quality of the food and drinks not being up to the standard for it in my opinion. As an example, an old fashioned made with Evan Williams, bitters which may or may not be house made, orange peel and NO cherry for $12. My dry aged burger was delicious but the kids tenders were so bland (which I know some kids are picky about but let’s make that an option). Finally the coffee. There is absolutely no reason to charge 7/8 dollars for coffee. There is a lot of competition with hundreds of small coffee shops popping up around Austin offering amazing coffee for less money. Overall I think it is an average place to visit with a premium in price due to the venue. Unless other locations are very busy, it is a 50/50 as to whether or not I would come back. I would love to see improvements in menu...

Our first time here and the food was really good, fresh, and full of flavor. We enjoyed the burger, turkey club, and fries. The chips that came with the chip trio were really greasy and it was really basic for being so pricey. We wished they had more lunch options in the afternoon on weekends though - we went around 2:30pm on Sunday and it was still mostly breakfast food. The ambiance is great with cute decor, and we loved the outdoor setup with the covered patio, TVs, and green space - it’s great for families and very kid-friendly! The service however wasn’t great - everyone seemed kind of grouchy (besides the man in the kitchen, who was really kind when we needed anything). The restrooms were also kind of dirty. We were very excited about Besame ice cream truck opening up here too - such delicious ice cream! We loved the Over the Rainbow flavor. Overall, it was a good experience, but they could still use some improvements. We definitely want to give it another shot so we can try the dinner menu and drinks/coffee. And hoping to have a better service...

We had dinner at La Dosis after seeing them on KXAN news. I had high expectations and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the cheeseburger and it is the best burger in the area in my opinion. It was a double patty, juicy and the sweet soft bun was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try something else. My husband had the Carne Guisada, he was really looking forward to the chicken fried chicken but they were out. Then his order was forgotten. So that was disappointing but we understand they are new. I’m still giving them a high rating because the staff was fabulous and various people checked on us and noticed something was up. We ordered cocktails and they were amazing!! The place has a variety of tables in the main dining room, a selection state inside patio room, then outside by the playscape are picnic tables. Pros- Food, drinks, staff, plenty of seating Cons- You order and pay at the counter, if you want another cocktail you have to go order and pay and wait for it to be made. We will definitely be back but keep it as a breakfast and lunch stop.

La Dosis! For those who don't know = The Dose...which I can tell you is perfectly fitting for what I need from here in the morning! I need their fresh cup of drip coffee and a breakfast taco as my dose to get rollin!!! 🔥🔥🔥 If you haven't experience your dose yet, go find it here asap! The staff, the atmosphere, THE FOOD!!!!! So delicious! So you think your getting a typical breakfast taco...NAH, not at all, your getting a dose taco, a dose of a helluva lotta delicious ingredients!!! Just look at the pic...sausage and egg, monterey, with pico and beans...Delicioso!!! I am super picky with cost and value, this appears a bit higher, but the quality, quantity, and taste is much higher. Salsa...perfect! I'll expect you to be crowding me tomorrow when I get my dose!!! And that will be okay!!! Go crowd this place, you'll thank yourself for it!!! 😁👍🙌

Stopped by for dinner tonight. Loved the atmosphere and it wasn’t too busy so we were in and out within 30 minutes. I got the achiote grilled chicken salad for $16 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was fresh cooked and full of flavor and char. It had a bunch of avocado and the veggies were fresh and had the right amount of dressing, just enough to taste. My only critique was I believe it was missing the purple onions but not a big deal. Boyfriend had the carne guisada for $17 which was very tasty, the homemade flour tortillas were fresh and chewy. His only critique was that it wasn’t very hot (luckily not a dealbreaker for us as we were starving, though I know some people might mind more) and it could’ve used more onions and cilantro. Other than that we enjoyed our time and look forward to returning once their full menu is available!😊
