Our family recently moved to Texas and quickly became PTerry fans. The food is great, and as long as we go through the drive thru we're happy with our service. They really need to step up their customer service for walk up customers.
We've walked up twice, the first time I waited 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. I needed a gift card, which they were out of, so I wasted 15 minutes for nothing. They were busy so I understand that they weren't able to get to me right away, but being completely ignored is just very unprofessional.
The second time I waited 5 minutes and the employee popped her head out to talk to the runner, but not once did she or the runner acknowledge that I was standing there. A simple "Hi, we'll be right with you" is all it takes to make a customer feel welcomed. The focus seems to be entirely on the drive thru line and getting those cars through the line as fast as possible. Which is fine if that's the focus of the restaurant just get rid of the walk up window.
The atmosphere is fun with the bright colors and picnic tables. It would be great to get some umbrellas...
Read moreIn an era when even McDonald’s prices have gotten out of control, there exists an establishment known as P. Terry’s. An Austin staple, P. Terry’s has become a fixture in the local burger scene, boasting locations from North to South. The meat is seasoned, the veggies are fresh, the fries are cut by hand, and the shakes are hand-spun. It’s a well-oiled machine. The food is delicious, the service is good, and most of all, it’s affordable. There aren’t too many places like P. Terry’s today, and I’m thankful that it exists in the middle of all of these places that don’t taste as good and cost more. Who cares about a McFlurry when you can get a Nutella shake? How about Reese’s? The only thing that would make P. Terry’s better is a small lobby. But that’s just how life is. P. Terry’s was meant to be enjoyed temporarily - a moment of reprieve from the trials and tribulations of modern life. Such is our humanity itself; fleeting and ephemeral.
Please never...
Read moreExcited to finally have a P. Terry's in the Cedar Park area! This spot hasn't been open long (maybe a month or so), but each time I've visited it's always been busy-the word is definitely out! Drive thru has 2 lanes so you can get through it pretty quickly. Friendly employees, service has been quick, and the food has always been consistent. For the price you pay, it's a great value and the burgers taste fresh. I did try the lemonade this time, and as others have said it's a bit tart so depends on your taste buds. I wasn't a huge fan of it, but the burger and fries combo is always my go to. Double cheeseburger for under $5 that's fresh is a no brainer! My little one didn't want a burger this particular evening, but the staff went ahead and made a grilled cheese for him. It's not on the menu but you can ask for it and they'll make one. Look forward to a return visit, and hopefully they'll build another...
