I’m loyal to the routine of stopping at a gas station each morning for breakfast and Celsius and had been going to one close to me for months. This all changed the day I tried the chorizo spicy egg sandwich, I’m not personally a chorizo fan but this filling sandwich was 9.1/10 on my scale with phenomenal flavor! Fast forward a couple months, I am now a regular. And love everything about this place! TJ the owner is a great cook and it’s easy to know that when he has customers returning daily! Vista ridge grill is everything I love about a restaurant, family oriented, small team, great food, great people and great vibes.
Menu items I’ve tried.
Breakfast items spicy egg sandwich with steak (8.9/10) (hot take; not a steak lover but still great flavor) spicy egg sandwich with chorizo (9.1/10 spicy egg sandwich with bacon (10/10)
Lunch items Cubano (8.4/10) Chili (9.3/10) Onion rings (9.7/10)
I only tried the steak because one day they were cutting it and had me try the steak while cutting it because I was hesitant on what I wanted to eat and even as a non steak person I ordered it anyway because of that scenario and loved it!
The chili - this was a happy accident, TJ was cooking a batch and added pinto beans to it and served me a small cup to try and I was blown away at the flavor and how it all came together.
Cubano - this is my lowest rating but still a great sandwich and the only reason it is not a 9+ is because I’m still on a noble pig Cubano high horse from my brief time as a cook there.
Onion rings- no question best onion rings I’ve had, it’s nice to bite an onion ring and it not completely fall apart, the exterior is CRISP! The onion is soft and sweet, the batter is just the right amount of salt/flavor (loved dipping them in the spicy sauce)
Spicy egg sandwich- you just can’t go wrong because the toast, the eggs and the sauce are such a tasty base that you could probably pick any protein and it’ll be an excellent breakfast/lunch I say this because every time I have one I’m normally full until dinner.
All in all, I recommend Vista ridge Grill to anyone who has the chance to try it one day, I am excited to see Tj & companies growth and would love to see their menu/restaurant outgrow the gas station it currently resides in. In my eyes not about if but when.
Cheers! For the great food, excellent consistency and great vibes! Keep up...
Read moreWe were having guest over for an early brunch/UT game/pool party and went with Vista Ridge Grill to provide the breakfast tacos. We ordered 40 and all were phenomenal! The attention to detail in the ingredients is what makes this the best breakfast taco in Cedar Park and is up there with the best in the Austin Metro area. Eggs were individually fried (which blew our mind, adds so much flavor and texture) versus scrambled, potatoes seasoned to perfection, bacon perfectly done. As good as the tacos are, the same level of attention was placed in the variety of salsas they make. All of them were great and our guest all agreed. I've not had the whole menu, but intend to. I can also confirm their Burger is one of the best in CP too. HEAVY recommend for Vista...
Read moreI wasn't expecting much to be honest considering it's inside a convenience store. Boy was I surprised. TJ the owner was incredibly friendly and talked to me for a good five minutes. I ordered the cheeseburger with homemade chipotle mayo and a fried egg on top. Beef seasoned perfectly, egg cooked perfectly and the chipotle was a great addition. I encourage you to try vista ridge cafe, its a clean, friendly family run business with really good food. Tacos, burgers, sandwiches, breakfast, etc... Highly recommend anyone in the cedar park area to try this place inside fizola market. Best burger I've had in cedar park and I've tried them all in the area. Hopdoddy doesn't have anything on this guy TJ and his Vista ridge grill. I will...
