When it comes to brunch, few experiences can top the impeccable service and mouthwatering cuisine found at Snooze an AM Eatery. On a recent visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Noah, a truly exceptional server who went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into the cheerful, retro-inspired dining room, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a fantastic meal.
Noah approached our table with a genuine enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor that instantly put us at ease. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he took the time to walk us through the various options, highlighting his personal favorites and making thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. It was clear that Noah was passionate about the food he was serving and truly cared about ensuring that we had the best possible experience.
After much deliberation, I decided to start my culinary journey with an order of the sweet potato pancakes. When the plate arrived, I was immediately struck by the vibrant colors and enticing aroma. The pancakes were a gorgeous golden brown, perfectly fluffy and topped with a generous dollop of cinnamon butter that slowly melted, creating a cascade of rich, buttery goodness. The first bite was a revelation – the pancakes were incredibly moist and bursting with the natural sweetness of the sweet potatoes, perfectly balanced by the warm, spicy notes of cinnamon. The texture was light and airy, with just the right amount of density to provide a satisfying bite. Noah had not steered me wrong – these pancakes were a true work of art.
But the real showstopper was yet to come. For my main course, I opted for the crab cake Benedict, a decadent twist on the classic brunch staple. When the dish arrived, I was immediately impressed by the presentation. Two perfectly poached eggs sat atop a pair of golden-brown crab cakes, nestled on a bed of toasted English muffins and topped with a velvety hollandaise sauce. The crab cakes themselves were a marvel – packed with tender, succulent crab meat and seasoned to perfection with a blend of herbs and spices that enhanced the natural sweetness of the crab. The eggs were poached to perfection, with runny yolks that mingled with the rich hollandaise, creating a luxurious sauce that coated every bite.
As I savored each mouthful, I couldn't help but be impressed by the level of care and attention to detail that had gone into creating this dish. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the sweetness of the crab playing off the richness of the eggs and hollandaise, while the English muffin provided a satisfying crunch and a bit of textural contrast. It was clear that the chefs at Snooze an AM Eatery were true masters of their craft, and their passion for creating exceptional brunch fare shone through in every bite.
Throughout the meal, Noah was attentive and personable, checking in on us regularly to ensure that we had everything we needed. He was quick to refill our drinks and offer additional recommendations, and his enthusiasm for the food was infectious. It was clear that he took great pride in his work and was dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for every guest.
In conclusion, my brunch at Snooze an AM Eatery was an absolute delight, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Noah and the incredible food created by the talented chefs. The sweet potato pancakes were a revelation, with their perfect texture and natural sweetness, while the crab cake Benedict was a decadent and luxurious twist on a classic dish. Read moreWell-we landed here unexpectedly. I was at a post-op appointment and decided that my husband should take me to eat.!! I had something specific in mind and wasn’t sure which brunch place had it and I didn’t have time to look at the menus so I chose Snooze Eatery. When we got there, it was quite busy, but we were offered seating inside or outside and chose to sit on the patio. It was a perfect day for it not chilly and not hot! They were running the air conditioning so I did feel it was a little cool for me inside . Our service was provided by Carlos, and he appeared almost immediately to offer us drinks. I chose a coffee as it smelled so good and my dining partner chose a blackberry , lemonade, & mint -handcrafted beverage that turned out to be one of the best things either one of us had ever tasted ! Unfortunately, what I was looking for didn’t happen to be on the menu, but I was happy to try the trio of pancakes. They all sounded delicious. I also ordered their special sugar and spice rubbed bacon which we shared. It was especially delicious and although my dining partner doesn’t care for Spice, it wasn’t so noticeable that it bothered him. My trio of pancakes included one that was sweet potato with some pecans scattered on it, a second one was a pineapple pancake, which had bits of pineapple baked within the pancake, The third pancake was topped with blueberry syrup and drizzled with icing. It was super sweet. My dining partner ordered the regular order of French toast, which was two thick slices of battered bread with fresh fruit, and fresh whipped cream on top . We rarely get out together, so it was really nice to have this opportunity to have brunch together and I hope we can do it again. We definitely recommend Snooze Eatery and also Carlos as he provided great service. He checked on us and made sure that we had everything we needed. The patio was also quite nice. We did have to put up with a few flies and perhaps as they get grounded in their service and clientele they may put in some fans outside, which I think would help. Although we didn’t have adult beverages, they do offer full bar services and I observed several people enjoying mimosas. When you’re in the Cedar Park area, we would definitely recommend you check it out ! Considering they just opened in April, they were remarkably organized and provided...
Read moreThe crab cake Benny is very good. I was actually surprised at how good it was not really expecting much. Shrimp and grits isn’t consistent. My sister had it and it was dry. Came back 2 days later with my husband who also ordered it and his had a sauce. I didnt think much of my corn beef and hash during my second visit. Also, husband ordered an unsweetened ice tea. It was super bitter and clearly overly steeped considering the dark color. I noticed other tables who had ice tea and the color was amber - typical of a good brewed tea. Again, consistency issues. We tell waitress the displeasure of the ice tea. She brings a water upon request. We were charged $3.25 for the ice tea… it should have been taken off. Husband said based on they alone, he wouldn’t come back.
It’s not a bad spot but I doubt I will return. Prices are too high for a breakfast/brunch. My husband and I paid $40 for our two meals (and bad ice tea) before tip which is insane considering the portion sizes. My sister and I paid over $70 two days prior. We each got a drink, entree and shared French toast. 3 breakfast meals for $70 bucks?! I understand inflation is high but my goodness… I have no issue paying higher prices for good food if I felt it was worth it.
It’s also not very spacious. The biggest tables are right at the front door. It’s very awkward to have people watching you eat 5 feet away as they are waiting for their table.
The best breakfast spot the area (continues) to be The Perky Bean in Leander. You pay better prices for (better) food, consistency and service. You’re also full for half the day. We were ready to eat again 2 hours later after...
