SERVICE was subpar. Not very friendly. Left waiting a couple times though there was hardly anyone else to wait on. The server was sat down behind the counter fiddling with her phone and looking bored when not serving the few of us but that's a management issue. FOOD was meh, okay. Came out hot and was colorful. Chips were warm. Salsa was pureed and had unique flavor. Queso bland and not fully melted but edible. Tacos al Pastor - Not the best in town but not bad. 3 tacos served a la carte on double corn tortillas. Nice caramelization on meat. Lots of pineapple. Good amount of cilantro. Came with salty green sauce on side. Arroz Con Camaron - Shrimp was large, cooked well and there was a decent amount. The dish came with 4 tortillas. Veggies were nicely cooked - not mushy. The rice was unseasoned and not worth eating. ATMOSPHERE was mostly enjoyable. The pictures on the walls were nice and the music was fitting. They were playing the music through the tv so nothing to look at. Missed opportunity there for entertainment. 8 top table was full of dishes when we walked in and still dirty when we walked out 45 minutes later. If you are from Iowa, you will most likely love it. The chicken to me was flavorless, so there's almost no risk of it being too spicy for the typical native Iowan. If you prefer your meat to be seasoned, look elsewhere. It's not much different than any other Mexican restaurant in Cedar Rapids that serves bland food to keep the locals happy. If you have had good Mexican food before and think that most Mexican food in Cedar Rapids is lacking in flavor, this place probably won't be the solution to...

I like the food, but the service is bad. They seem the be clueless on what they are doing. Every time I have called to place an order, whomever picks up just seems rude and like they don’t really feel like even talking to you ! More politeness would go a long way!
