Tea Bubbz — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

Went here to try out the tea, and dumplings. The second after our drink order was placed the guy working behind the counter disappeared. The whole front of the store was empty of staff for 5-10 minutes. A new girl returned to make tea order. Took about 20 minutes to get both teas- very frustrating considering it was fairly empty and the worker disappeared. We got our naan wrap before our teas were done. Waited on dumplings for 40 minutes. Tried to ask worker about them, workers seemed unwanting to attend to me. Dumplings came out 2 minutes after I asked about them. Overall, terrible experience. The service was extremely slow, because people seemed unwilling to do their jobs. Workers also seemed confused. The chicken on the wrap was extremely dry and cold, inedible. Never received my sauce for my dumplings after waiting forever. Will never come again, and don’t recommend to anyone. Food was pricey, and not good quality. This was also some of the worst service I have every experienced. The whole time I was there, there were people waiting 30 plus minutes for their job interview with the manager. I’ve been to the restaurant before and I really enjoyed it. Decided to come back another time, however this time there was no one at the counter, and when someone finally arrived, they disappeared and told us someone else would be with us. The guy finally come and said in a snarky attitude that the store was actually closed. But for context, it was still seven minutes before the store was set to close. The workers packed up early for convenience and instead of apologizing, they refused to go unpack the items and turned us away. It would’ve been nice to have someone come to us respectfully and let us know the shop was set to close early, or at least posted somewhere rather than keeping the open sign lit with the shop name at...

I saw the stand at the market after dark event in downtown Cedar Rapids and the biscoff cookie boba tea caught my attention. They worked through the line and orders pretty fast considering how busy the event was. There are so many stands to choose from, and this was the perfect choice for me. I loved the cookie butter flavor and especially the bobas. The cup was nice and sturdy and the lid stayed on securely.
