Firstly, I will say there has never been a Mexican restaurant in Denver that has met my expectations, as someone who grew up in Texas. However, El Karajo was hands down some of the worst Mexican food Iāve ever had. I started with a margarita and ended up returning it, which I never do. It was completely watered down, no taste or tequila or even lime, literally tasted like water! My husband ordered a different margarita that was slightly better so I ended up trading mine for that. There were no prices listed next to any of the drinks- so I was appalled when the bill came and each marg $20. I also ordered chips and queso to start. It was literally velveeta cheese with a few chopped tomatoes on top. Honestly it was pretty gross. Their salsa was ok so I ended up mixing that into the queso to make it worth while. Unfortunately the entrees were no better. I had a chile rellaƱo that was mehh at best. Im not sure why, but almost no Mexican restaurants in Denver do a rellaƱo properly- El Karajo is not the only place Iāve been surprised by with an egg roll style pepper. For some reason Mexican restaurants around here like incorporating Asian into their food but it is not working! Not only that, but to get rice & beans with your entrees is an up charge which is wild to me. For my husband and I to have a marg each and an entree was over $100. I was floored. I expect that from a high end restaurant- not a Mexican joint. The service was also subpar. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the host to bring us a highchair for our little one after we weāre seated & the server was just ok. I wouldnāt return here even if our next meal was free & honestly feel as though we should be reimbursed for our...

El Karajo Mexican Restaurant is a gem! From the moment you walk in, youāre greeted with friendly smiles and an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like family. The service is always fast, attentive, and genuinely warm ā you can tell the staff takes pride in what they do.
The food? Incredible. Every dish weāve tried bursts with authentic flavor and freshness. The chips and salsa are the perfect start ā crisp, warm, and paired with a bold, house-made salsa that has just the right kick. The enchiladas, fajitas, and tacos are standouts, and the portions are generous without going overboard. Donāt skip the margaritas either ā theyāre strong, flavorful, and come in great variety!
The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and perfect for both casual dinners and special gatherings. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get.
El Karajo has definitely become a go-to spot for our family when weāre craving great Mexican food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying, authentic, and enjoyable...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible customer service. They only care about getting your money and not fixing their mistakes. I ordered fajitas from this restaurant for take out. When I went for pickup, they had a bag of food ready for me for pickup. I live 10 miles away, I went home and open the bag and I see that the tortillas were missing. I called the restaurant to see if they could bring me the tortillas or give me a partial refund. The person who answered the phone was apologetic, but had no corrective action to suggest except for me to drive all the way there and pickup what they forgot to put. I said I was not coming and said I needed a partial refund. The lady said the manager would call me in a day. It has been a week and no phone call has come.
This is disgusting behavior for a brand...
