While the atmosphere of The Varsity Inn is splendid and parking seems ample that's about where it ends. You'll find that since COVID they have cut staff to bare bones to the point where you have to order your food at the bar, pay and then they have the audacity to require you tip for your service before you have even sat down. The service was slow, again because there was one server for the whole place on a Friday night no less, and any additional drinks or food had to be ordered at the bar which caused a long line and even longer wait times. The pizza was good, not great,it lacked a lot of toppings and was as basic as a fast food pizza anywhere in town. The Colorado Chile was tantamount to a can of Stagg Chile partially heated up with only enough flavor for the upper crust suburban crowd that would dare call themselves locals here. Bar prices were above average but might as well take advantage of the audience that you have, so good on them.

Wasn’t sure what to expect as we walked in, as the store front is undergoing some renovations. Really looking for a quick dinner, although the menu selection wasn’t too vast. Pizza, burgers, and some salads were their focus; I ordered the burger. It was delicious! After a hard day’s work, I struggle to finish it - really hit the spot. Although I didn’t order any pizza, I did get a look at a few pies coming out of the kitchen, very tempting as well. A couple billiard tables, maybe a dozen or so booths (half closed cause of COVID), and one huge Moon hanging from the ceiling.

If I could give zero stars I would. Dominos has better pizza. The pizza was dry like cardboard, and the wings were horrible. Not sure what those meatballs even taste like but they look gross. Never returning. Save your money and go elsewhere. A waste of $55. The gal that answered the phone asked if I wanted to talk to a manager. I said I didn’t really care just wanted to tell her it was horrible and wasn’t coming back. She was like, “ok…..bye”. Thought I’d try them again and am now sorry I did.

Our visit here felt like it was an inconvenience to the bartender. We stood at the bar waiting to place an order for almost 10 minutes while the bartender described, in detail to another customer, why the beer he poured was delicious.. Then, when the bartender finally finished his story and took our order, he behaved as though our presence was ruining his night, begrudgingly pouring the cocktails we ordered. Once he finished making our drinks he returned to his previous conversation with a pleasant affect, and as we drank our cocktails we noted that he was having pleasant conversations with the other patrons, who appeared to be regulars. The bartender had spoken no more than 4 words to us, and we had not said a single word until he asked for our drink order. We waited patiently, made no indication whatsoever of displeasure, and politely made our order.. We were quite surprised at the attitude we received for having done nothing more than walk in, wait patiently, and order once acknowledged by the bartender. Absolutely would not recommend based on this...

This place is such a great time for everyone! We came as two adult couples with children and we ALL had a blast!! We ordered their 30" Do It Like Donkey Kong pizza which was HUGE! Between 6 people we STILL had two boxes of leftovers to take home. There are fun old school arcade video games around the perimeter of the restaurant and two pool tables for fun and games. No need to hassle with quarters either, you just buy a game card and all the games have a card reader. Many, many TV screens encircle the eating area so we caught like three different sports games as well. Full bar against the side wall serving drinks which is great for the adults and the games kept the kids going for hours. They have Frogger, Tapper, Q-bert, Centipede, Galaga, Big Buck Hunter, The Walking Dead, Terminator, Basketball Frenzy, and more, too much to list really. Definitely go check this place out, whether you're going out with friends as adults or with the children, The Varsity Inn is a one stop shop for all and great fun, I highly recommend it. Thanks for a great...
