The service was really friendly and fast. My food came out in less than 5 minutes. I walked in and placed a to-go order. The inside of the restaurant is nice. It has a calm and quiet environment. The person who took my order was very friendly. The food was OK. My son liked it, so anytime a kid likes something, I feel like that's a win. The rice and noodles were a little bland. I ordered the combo fried rice, and there was 1 piece of shrimp in the whole order. I also ordered a side of lo mein. The noodles tasted funny, like old tasting and not freshly made or as if the noodles themselves were past the freshness date. I also ordered a strawberry boba, and I liked how they put it in it's own individual plastic bag. The kicker for me was the $4.00 difference I paid from the prices on the menu. I know prices are rising, but it is a little frustrating when this happens. Put up a sign saying menu prices may vary now or get new menus....

While I understand the tradition with Chinese is to grab takeout or delivery as you can eat it quickly or on the go, I strive to visit He-Xing to sit down and take the time to enjoy myself. I've tried quite literally almost everything on the menu, and I have yet to get a bad meal.
It's truly baffling to me that they aren't praised more with awards and community recognition for their excellent standard of quality for ingredients but also for their portions and flavor bursting off the plate.
This isn't even to mention the staff - arguably the best in the state. Response time, courtesy and attentiveness are all at the level you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, minus any sense of entitlement that comes with said star.
I look forward to seeing you all at He-Xing soon, make sure to try the Orange Chicken...
Read moreFirst of all, the prices listed in the menu they MAILED to local businesses is deceiving. Their lunch prices are actually $1 more if you order online - a fact I didn't find out about until I went to pick up an order. When I inquired, I was told that since THEIR website is operated by a third party, all prices in their menu are $1 more if you ordered online. I was also told if I called on the phone instead of ordering online, the original price would be honored. WTH? Also, the food isn't that great. I ordered Kung Pao Shrimp from Sunflower Asian on Mineral and the same thing here - HUGE DIFFERENCE. Don't bother with the bait and switch of He-Xing, go to Sunflower for honest prices and great food. Bigger portions and good prices with...
