Shame on me for waiting so long to review this place! I have been coming to this location and the one on Araphoe Road for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Their muffins are truly decadent with ALL the sugar and fat (and calories) you could ever want. Don't go if you're on a diet. Flavors are amazing and being fresh baked, they always taste great.
My go to in the morning is a Southern Tradition with sausage on a cheddar bagel. They heat the bagel up to get the fat in the cheese a little bubbly - amazing. All their deli sandwiches are delish, but add double meat if you're feeling hungry. Sometimes they are a little thin on the meat and cheese.
It's hard not to compare to Einstein's just up the road. You see the same faces at My Favorite Muffin all the time, while Einstein's has struggled to keep employees and it shows in their service, sometimes it's good, sometimes not. MFM is always good. The bagels are comparable, with Einstein's perhaps a little lighter, not so dense. The muffins make this a no contest. Einstein's DOES have asiago bagels, which my fiance prefers. (So guess where we go a lot.) I prefer to support a local business. Pricing is...
Read moreI had about 2 hours to kill waiting for my kid to do some stuff so wanted to stop by a bakery. I've been to a different one of these some years ago and was fairly impressed. Here well perhaps not as much. First, the food was pretty much what I remembered. Decent tasty. Perhaps a little different than the average muffin. I do raise an eyebrow that their jumbo sized muffins are A normal sized muffin certainly smaller than the ones you'd find at Costco. For example. They are quite tasty. A heavy kind of batter stick to your ribs. Southern kind of stuff. Also had a BLT sandwich and coffee. The counter people were a bit short with the customers. I even heard one person. Apologize for not knowing quite how to order. One of those times when it seemed like the customers were happier to be there than the staff. It was around 10:15 in the morning and they were already out of the dark roast coffee. Light roast was fine but I do prefer the dark. Overall okay if it's handy and not out of your way but I would probably recommend another location...
Read moreThe muffins and bagels were delicious. Obviously that's breakfast food, and I visited in the morning. I was expecting to buy a cup of coffee to drink while eating my bagel. Instead, I found 3 varieties of coffee, that had empty dispensers! No one bothered to check if the pots were full. When I asked about it, they informed me that they had to brew a new pot. So you would think that one person would have the forethought of grabbing my cup and serving a cup of coffee while it's dispensing into the pot. That didn't happen. Instead I waited, and waited and waited until I got frustrated and poured myself some decaf and left. You would also think they would offer a free bagel, a mini-muffin or even a free cup of coffee, especially given the fact that I bought a dozen full size muffins that cost $34! I was offered nothing for the inconvenience of waiting on something like coffee that should be monitored. Hopefully the next time I go back, the staff will be better trained and...
