I went on 4/18/25 around 6pm and got there before it became too busy, just 3 people counting myself.
First and last I noticed is the cleanliness of the store. It âseemedâ clean, however the floor was very greasy, and slightly so with the table and seating. I even noticed other people feeling steady as they were walking around the place. Yeah, yeah it's a restaurant it would naturally be greasy there but, it's way too greasy. as if they didn't mop/clean the floors properly, especially in the front. I could see that as a safety issue. If your shoes were wet on those floors...
Second the food. It was honestly good, and would recommend but I swear the meat was either well done or rare, or very tuff, or too chewy. There wasn't any between. Like yeah you can ask for it for specifics on how you want it done but that would take too long.(my next topic)
Third is the service, which differs from multiple things I've seen. First is the wait time. The people who walk around w/ meat are checking people đ©đ„ hourglasses. However, they definitely miss people, like my group VERY often. Or even serve half the product and then take it away before showing it to other people, my group again. Yes, you can ask for certain meats or even how you prefer it to be cooked but, why is it taking OVER 10min?? Cook time, prep, person?? Took my group 4 times to ask for a certain 2 meats. And one of them came to us but left without giving it to us. Then. Came with the meat we wanted as we left. I don't know if it was intended or what but it's still messed up. Assuming they didnât come to our table because we had about 1/4 plate of food un-eaten. Sucks I know, I am personally a picky eater, and so are a lot of people. However, dismissing are table like we aren't worthy or some is mad crazy. If anything they couldâve treated us normally and added a new policy of charging for un-eaten food. The server or any staff were very kind and did look like they were trying, which I respect them too. However, I think they need more manpower to run that business because the meats werenât consistently being brought around except for ones people don't want. Also, a major one I saw is there was only ONE cook for the meats. Yes, I may be wrong, but it would honestly make sense with how slow the meats were coming out. NOT disrespecting the one(s) there, just saying I feel like they need more manpower so they're not struggling with demand. Overall, I personally wouldnât go again(unless my friend wanted to go) or even recommend this place just because ain't no way I spent +$60 for 1/3 of the time being a few servings of meat, and 2/3 of the waiting...
Read moreUPDATE 11/26/23 Oh DTC Rodizio... I gave you a second chance and was disappointed yet again. When I arrived I was ignored by the host. He didn't even look up to acknowledge us. Granted he was on the phone but just a quick "I'll be with you in just a moment" goes a long way when it comes to costumer service. We waited about 5-10 mins to be seated which is not bad for Rodizio. After waiting a few minutes at our table, we decided to start a timer given our previous experience detailed below. A little over 15 minutes later our server Tom came by and said it was his 1st week on the job and he didn't know we were seated at 1 of his tables. We had already gotten our salad bar items by the time he came by. He was about to leave and I had to stop him to ask for water since he didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. After that, we didn't see him for at least 30-45 mins. Not even for a water refill. The whole time we were there, the couple of times he came back to our table, it was painfully obvious he had forgotten about us. The only good thing about our visit was the gauchos. They were super friendly and way more attentive than our dear Tom. More training is definitely needed. I came in with an open mind but was let down again. I will not be coming back to this location.
Original Post I love the Rodizio downtown and was so excited when this one opened as it is much closer to my home. I had such high hopes for this place but it really let me down. When we 1st walked in at around 8pm, we waited a pretty long time for someone to finally come and greet us. We were sat down and waited a long time again for our waitress to even acknowledge us. She finally walked by and said she'd be with us in a minute but we waited a while before she came back. The food wasn't great- some of the meats and chicken were pretty dry or super salty. Our waitress only came by once to bring us our water and disappeared for most of our time there. She only came by to let us know she was going on break and her coworker would be taking care of us while she was gone, but that was the 1st and last time we saw her coworker. We had to flag her down later so that we can get a water refill. When we were done we waited yet again a really long time for our waitress to come by. When she finally did, she asked if we enjoyed our dessert but we hadn't even ordered any yet. By the time we paid our check she seemed pretty annoyed at the fact that we were still there. We would have been long gone had she actually been around to help us out. Super disappointing 1st visit to the 2nd location of one of my favorite...
Read morePains me to do three stars. Really I want to give this place two stars and I'll explain why.
We came in on a Friday night, 5pm. We were asked if we had reservations like it was a big deal. There were quite literally three seated tables.
Regardless we sat down becoming eventually 1 of 6 total seated tables the whole time we were there.
We were greeted and explained the process. We have been to Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao so we were pretty familiar with the system. We were explained the pricing between the two options (all food, or just salad bar) and went all in.
We ordered one soda and one mixed drink. The mixed drink was excellent and very strong which is good.
The food then started coming. Nothing really stood out as sounding amazing. Beef, chicken, pork options and one lamb. There were small fish samples, cheese, chicken hearts, and also pineapple. Everything tasted dull, chewy, and dry. The only redeeming items were the cheese and pineapple which is wild.
The salad and extras buffet had several items misidentified. The oil and vinegar bottle was disgustingly sticky which got all over my hand. I was also disappointed in the bananas. I couldn't really place the taste, but it wasn't what I've traditionally had at these places.
Service was ok. The actual server was attentive although didn't refill my drink the entire time. He offered as we were paying. The best meat bearers when telling you what each item was, were incredibly hard to understand. Half of the items I had no idea what they said. Something, something, beef.
The manager did stop by to see how everything was going but unlike other places we've been to, did not offer to send a favorite item to our table. I thought that was pretty standard.
All in all... at $50/person you would expect better. Unfortunately this place fell flat for us and we'll likely not return again and instead hit up Texas de Brazil which still reigns supreme in this restaurant style.
I'll also add that we were all put in the same section (6 tables). We were not happy to be seated next to a table with a young child/baby. We were trying to enjoy a date night together with no kids and that darkened the mood. Thankfully for the most part those parents kept the kids in check only having to shush them a...
