At 9pm on June28th, 2017 my family hadn't eaten dinner. We decided we wanted chicken. I wanted KFC, but it was to far. My daughter said call "Popeye's" it's closer the next city over. I did & got directions, reluctantly from an employee. We finally found the facility, & at 9;52pm I purchased an 8pc Combo with Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans for $28.27. The clerk informed me I'd have to wait on the mashed potatoes to be prepared (with a not so pleasant look); so I agreed to accept French Fries. To my regret I didn't check the bag. When we arrived home the boxes were soggy, I thought it was from the green beans. Too my surprise there weren't any green beans. The Fries were really brown, cold & limp, the Chicken was dry & the biscuits were hard as if they had sat under the warming light for hours. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The associate didn't identify herself as the manager but when I told her I was calling because for one our Green Beans were missing from our order and....I then realized she had hung up on me. Needless to say I was angry. I called back & the same person answered. I let her know I knew she deliberately hung up on me & asked for the manager again. She stated she could help (after saying her name very fast). She asked if I had my receipt; I said I did & she asked if I could come back to get the Green Beans tomorrow ($4.19 + Tax wouldn't cover my gas). I said I could, but that wasn't my only concern; "Just bring your receipt, Tajala Johnson". I was very cordial throughout this experience, but it kept me up all night. i was livid, even to the point of talking in my sleep. I want my entire $28.27 Refunded Immediately. If I could be reimbursed for gas I'd ask for that too. I never write reviews good or bad, but I decided to see if Popeye's had online customer service or a website.    Read moreI pulled into the drive thru at 1015 and the automatic recording came in stating they were closed. At that time I googled the store and it said they didn't close until 11. So I sat there and continuously asked if anyone was there, but no one responded so I pulled forward anyway. Shortly after, two cars came behind me and someone came to the speaker each time. I then got out of line and pulled back around. This time after the recording came on, someone answered shortly after and when I asked if they were closed they said they weren't and I asked what the hold up was and another person then took over the mic claiming they have no control over the recording coming on the speaker. So then I explained that I sat at the speaker saying "hello" and there was no response, and since then there was two cars that came behind me. She then rudely said "well what do you want to order?" I told her my order and she then stated it would be 20 mins and I told her I would wait. This is not my first rude encounter at this store and ultimately I only come here as a last resort for that exact reason. Someone needs to control these people who work here at night because the store will eventually lose business for customer service.    Read moreI originally requested a 3 piece wings and a biscuit the person stated we canât serve you a â3â piece which was fine so it was told to me I can only get a âtwoâ piece no problem so I requested to pay for an extra wing she said we canât do it that way đ¤? Well, did not understand mind you Iâm in drive thru so I said just stated give me 2 orders of the two wings and a biscuit then someone else came on the microphone and states âwe short of wings we canât sell you two orders of the two piece wing dinnerâ! Okay, This is the craziest thing Iâve ever heard for a paying customer so when I got to the drive thru to pay I asked for the manager she said we are limiting the amount of wings because we are short !!! Well I pay for my food open my box in my car and guess what? Feathers (large) were still on the wing and you could not miss it! It was fried in the batter with the grease!!! I came back told the manager she did not apologize she was as NASTY to me as if I cooked the chicken.
I will never go back to this location because unfortunately itâs sad when we go outside our neighborhoods and donât get treated like others but when we are amongst our own race and they show no type of managerial skills nor customer service?
