I really wanted to love this place. Especially with all the great reviews from over the previous years. But...
We went there for my birthday dinner (myself and my parents), at 5:00pm on a Friday, because my folks are both seniors. There were only two other tables seated, but it was SO loud. The waitress tried to seat us right by the door, immediately across from the counter. But we politely asked for a table against the back wall, so we could hear each other (my mom uses hearing aids). And then the attitude started. Like we asked her to build us a table.
Once agreeing to our request to simply walk 15 feet, she gave us about 90 seconds to look at the menu, but was offended by my mother's request for more time, but couldn't be bothered with a drink order. Then, after repeated attempts to flag her down and being ignored, she finally came back. No explanation of which item came with rice or not, or ??? Never a single smile or anything like a welcoming gesture. Ever.
Finally, after ordering and receiving our food. I have to admit - I expected so much more. I could excuse the sourpuss (even downright rude) waitress, if the food was glorious. But, the pad thai noodles were sort of all glued together in a clump. My peanut sauce had a separated oil in it. However, my mom's cashew nut stir fry was the star of the show. My dad ended up eating half of that.
Overall, I was hoping to give the rave that so many others were posting, here. But, I'm giving them a generous 4 stars, based on my perfectly fried chicken and my mother's great dish. DEFINITELY NOT THE WAITRESS.
Note: there was a super chipper, delightful younger gal that was, sadly NOT our server. We got the...

The spring rolls had a slight bitter and odd taste. My best guess is they didn't change their frying oil or they fry everything in the same batch of oil.
They didn't add a straw for my drink, not a biggie though.
Drink was solid. No problems there.
As for the entree nearly $20 bucks for a relatively very small portion. The taste was less than mediocre. I mean panda Express offers "double" the portion for nearly half the price, not exaggerating even in the slightest. I mean, hell the cheapest Chinese or Thai places at least offer double the portion with the same taste or better.
Taste: 1.5/5 Portions: 1.5/5 Price: 2/5 Value: .5/5
I would not recommend this place unless everything else is closed and you don't know how to microwave a burrito or make a sandwich.
Positives: Staff was friendly, place was nice and the...
Read moreThis food is truly made of love, and it's apparent as soon as you walk through the door. Some times the feel of things and places can be hard to describe with words, this is one of those times. Real smiles, real gratitude for your patronage, and real food that leaves you questioning why you would ever eat anywhere else. We were there up until 15 minutes after close, and not rushed one bit. The kitchen is semi open to the dining area. Every time a customer left, the cooks, servers, and hostess thanked them with big smiles and wished them a good evening. I would go into the taste and quality of the food, but I'm certain that I can do it no justice...just try it yourself! Thank you so very much Thai Garden for serving food the way it should be...
