Zen Zen Sushi and Teriyaki — Restaurant in Central Point

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by this little hole in the wall restaurant.

Zen Zen is a quaint unnoticed Sushi & Teriyaki restaurant, it’s quiet, clean, and the staff there are friendly and helpful.

We went once, and a week later went again because of how much we liked it, also if you live in central point, it’s basically 5 minutes in any direction.

I had the Dragon Roll, the Table Rock, the Central Point, and the Las Vegas. My wife enjoyed the Golden California, and the Golden Philadelphia rolls each time. We were impressed by the quality and taste of the rolls in relativity to their prices. They were affordable and delicious, without lacking quality of ingredients. We had rolls with eel, yellowtail, snapper, tuna, crab, and more. All for a grand total of about $30.00. That’s between getting four orders of different rolls, which if you are an avid Sushi consumer, you understand how that is pretty fair prices, our second time we split some Unagi Nigiri (Eel) which was only $8.00 and also very good. They offered Teriyaki Bento boxes, soups, salads and more. We love Sushi and thoroughly enjoyed the selection they had.

All in all, we were very happy with our shot in the dark selection for dinner on our date night! It was tasty, quiet, right behind the house, and affordable. Our only complaint would be it took a little bit of a wait to get our rolls, but that could have been because we were so hungry! An...

ABSOLUTELY TRASH SERVICE TRASHY ATTITUDES Absolutely terrible service on their part! I went in and was content with my glass of wine and appetizers but when it came time to order my food, I ordered yokisoba noodles plain, I said just the noodles. No meat no veggies. She brings my plate out full of veggies and some type of Meat, I said excuse me but I didn’t order it that way, I said I ordered my food just noodles. She grabs my plate and walks off. Comes back a min later and sets it down and said I’m sorry we don’t have time to remake your food we’re too busy. (Mind you there’s only one other couple in there) I said ok that’s fine then please take it back I don’t want that. Fast forward to the bill, they have a charge for half the price on my bill. I left exact change for all the things I actually ordered and ate and told her I will not pay for a meal that I, not only did not order but that I did not eat! So she leaves to talk to the “manager” and comes back with my check without that on it and said none of you are allowed back here! Ok fine great thanks. I’m disappointed in how they handled a situation that they messed up. I just wanted the food ordered. Simple. So now I’ll be sure to eat everyone know how...

Went out to celebrate tonight. Love sushi and supporting my local neighborhood businesses. I worked in restaurants for half my life and was damn good at it. So I have a pretty high bar when it comes to dining experiences. But this is a small town, so I make allowences.

The food was good. My mouth and stomach are happy. I was willing to overlook the total apathy and charmlessness of our server up until the very last moment when she dropped the ($60+) bill.

My husband said "thank you!' And she said "...yeh," stuck her fingers in our (not finished) drinks, turned her back and walked away.

Listen girl-who-should-not-be-allowed-to -wait-tables, it's not our fault you had a lateish table come in (45 min before close.) Spare me the attitude. If you don't like your job, get a new one.

The general celebrating, paying public does not deserve the feeling of loathing I have right now.
