When I first walked in here, I thought this was a cute little bar. When the bartender brought me my second drink, as I needed it, I thought all right, that works. But then I noticed no one's playing any music on the jukebox. They're just playing the radio. I asked if I could play the jukebox. Then the next thing I know, I'm being fast passed on the jukebox, like someone else suddenly wanted to play it. Then it dawned on me. They're fast passing my songs to get rid of me instead of letting me hear my songs so I can leave. I was being forced out of the bar, 30 minutes before it was supposed to close. I finally hear my last song and I do leave. But then the guy that was sitting there fast passing my songs, leaves seconds after me, like he's protecting the bartender from me. For crying out loud I only weigh a 120 pounds and have a broken hip. What am I going to do besides get thrown around by her? Was he really protecting her from me? And how vain that they thought I was there for her and not the booze. I went all day without drinking, but had to at the end of the day and this was the only place I could find open. They sure thought I had alterior motives. Remember, the Bible says, judge not lest thy be judge thyself. And also, remember, you had judged me and what my motives were. I was not trying to get laid. Sex was never on the...
Read moreThe bar is oqueredly set up, it's like a hall way with chaers in it. They set the Kj station at the front door, so it is very oquered going in and out of the bar on karaoke night (there was a man in a wheelchair that could not get through because people were blocking his way some one had to ask the people to move out of his way. They should move the pool table to the front of the bar by the window. Right now it is right in the center taking space away from paitrens to mingle and sit. They should move the karaoke station to the back of the bar so it is out of the way of the exit/entrance. The Kj let people sing a head of others who had signed up to sing, some signing multiple times before the others who had signed up to sing. one person had to wait over an hour before they were called up to sing. If you are going to sing karaoke, until they fix these problems you should not bother going to the corner club there are other places you can have an...
Read moreI've been a regular at this little tavern for over 30 years and my stepsons have been regulars for almost that long. It's a casual atmosphere where you don't feel self-conscious if you show up by yourself (a big issue for a lot of women). As for the comment left by the girl that said "the guy spit in her food". I'm curious about who that could've been since there are no male employees working there (at least not at the time she posted that bad review). I've never heard of anything like that happening and you know small bar talk - if that had happened everyone would have been talking about it...
