My mom and I went here for the first time and we have mixed reactions. She ordered a couple drinks along with the pandan waffle while I only ordered the hot cheeto elote. There wasn't that many customers so it shouldn't have taken that long to make the drinks unless you're new at it. I worked at another boba franchise for a year and even when we had a rush, I was able to get the drinks out in less than a few minutes than when it was ordered. We were here for 40 minutes, waiting for our drinks and food. Essentially, they forgot about our food because the pandan waffle was cooking for too long and when we opened the box, it smelled like burnt popcorn. The pandan waffle is supposed to be soft and jelly like but this waffle was like a crunchy cookie. Their boba has no sugar or flavor of its own so it wasn't very appetizing to eat the pearls. The only place that adds any sugar to their pearls is T4. I have tried Saigon(used to be downtown for years, now on Carver), T-Cups, and 98Boba. Overall if you want some good milk tea with tasty pearls, I recommend T4. Now on the other hand, the hot cheeto elote really hit the spot. I've never tried elotes with hot cheetos and this was really delicious. The sauce they used was not plain mayonnaise but it was also very tasty. Overall, I enjoyed my visit at Bobalicious but my mother wasn't. She didn't enjoy the wait neither did she enjoy her burnt...

I asked if I can adjust sugar since I don't like my drinks very sweet; she took the time to show me the cup sizes they use to add sugar. My gosh, I was shocked at the amount that's typically added! Diabetes in a boba cup. She allowed me to use half of a different smaller cup for sweetness. My blended iced taro milk tea turned out delicious and just right.
My boyfriend got a mangonada and one of the mangoes in their display. It was okay. Other than that, the place looks a bit run down inside and and shady looking on the outside. They don't list their prices too so we didn't know what anything costs. For two drinks and one mango, it came to a little over $20. That's steep. That's like the price of the drinks/snacks at that bougie boba store in Sacramento called Bober. At least that one had a unicorn for me to ride on. Eh, not sure...
Read moreI've had milk tea in different locations. This place is pretty mediocre. They do have pandan and Nutella crêpe. Unfortunately they are limited to their snacks here. Unlike a lot of other milk tea location switch off for popcorn chicken and hot food. Their selection of drink is pretty minimal. The service is a little slow but one can understand when there's only one employee working behind the counter. What I'm surprised was there's a girl taking care ALL the orders yet there was a guy who came out to clean. Thankfully we were helped. Unfortunate for the one customer who walked out before us. I don’t come here often cause of their unimaginative item selection. I can always get taro smoothie from any milk tea store.
