Encore Salon — Local services in Ceres

I really didnt want to leave this review bc of how uncomfortable it makes me but i am sharing this bc it would be unfair if i didnt. I had to go to another salon to correct the mistakes that were made here. It was a disaster, i had so much anxiety here. This happened a few months ago It was the owner happy who did my hair (she does eye brow threading here too). I asked for my outgrown blonde hair to be dyed brown and with pink highlights. I had a picture + was very clear ab what i wanted on the phone and in the consultation. I left with orangey brown hair and orange streaks at the front of my hair + brighg orange on top the pink highlights which only became more noticeable with time . I dont think she knew what she was doing and the other stylists at salon were pretty worried for the mistakes she made on my hair. if you dont know how to get what the client wants you should say that straight up. Idk if she was even licensed bc she honestly didnt seem to know how to correct the mistakes. She told me i could pay what i wanted for the service but i think they shouldve paid me for the damages, as i had to go somewhere else to fix it (which the hair was possible to fix, just the stylist happy didnt know how ). Also there was multiple clients she saw while my hair was being dyed and it honestly felt like it was burning forever while i waited for her to come back and check on it. Horrible customer service. My husband and I both came in needing a haircut. No one greeted us as we walked in, no one asked either of us what service we were looking to get, just immediately sat my husband down and started working on him. A stylist was available but didn’t even bother to even ASK me if I needed anything, just stood around by her station. I made sure to sign in and everything just for her to immediately sit down a man who walked in a couple of minutes after us. I didn’t get seated until the woman(I forgot her name) who does the eyebrow threading came into work. She immediately asked me if I needed a service and sat me down. She welcomed other people who started coming in and asking every single one of them what they were looking to get done. Charged us $52 for a simple hair cut, I just got 3 inches off and my husband shortened his hair. I will never come back here, I’d rather drive 18 mins to Great Clips on McHenry where they charge $22 for BOTH men and women’s hair cuts. Price...

I had my hair cut by a newbie stylist there. She did a wonderful job of trimming off the over processed parts of my hair, without taking of a lot of hair. I told her: please even out what's uneven due to breakage, cut off the dead ends, but still leave it long enough that I can put it up in a ponytail.

She did exactly that. It only cost me $25 for the cut!
