Vinh Loi Tofu Vegan Restaurant — Restaurant in Cerritos

First time here and we absolutely LOVED it. The atmosphere and food were amazing. The owner was more than hospitable; he made my family and I feel like we've been going there for years. We started off with the fried dumplings and their Sexy Buns. Fried dumplings were crispy but not oily or too fatty. They were tasty. The sexy buns were new to me so I didn't know what to expect but loved them. It was like Korean taco "meat" on a hot dog bun. The fresh onion and cilantro just made it taste that much better. These are a must! For our entrees, my nephew had the #5 ramen soup. The vegan ham and ramen were phenomenal. If you've had fried spam, it was similar to it but better. My sister had the orange chicken fried rice and although it was "just" fried rice, you couldn't even notice you weren't eating real orange chicken. Crispy and tender with a orange zesty flavor. My niece and I had the #1 Kevin soup and that lemongrass broth was like nothing I've ever had before. I added their shrimp to mine and it just added another layer of flavor. I finished it ALL! Best vegan soup I've had. However, the #2 curry soup that my other niece had was my favorite. The depth of flavors was just unbelievable. That will be my next soup. For dessert, we had the Ube pudding and carrot cake. The pudding was a first for me and I loved it. If you like sweets like me, then you'll love it. The carrot cake was supposed to be a treat for tomorrow but barely made it home. It was mouthwatering, sweet, and moist. Love supporting 100% vegan restaurants because it is nice to order anything and everything on the menu without any worries or reservations.

Everything we tried was delicious and generous portions: the fresh tofu rolls, fried dumplings, summer fried rice with different proteins, the fried rice with beef, the cold noodle salad, the udon stir-fried with bbq duck and the ironman pho. I was delighted to be able to order a tasty soup; I did not realise how much I missed having soup options at vegan restaurants/cafes.

The customer service was excellent and Khoi Tran one of the owners, was super hospitable and even took selfies with us.

Me encanta apoyar a los restaurantes que son 100% veganos porque es agradable pedir de todo lo que esté en el menú sin preocupaciones ni reservas.

Todo lo que probamos estuvo delicioso y de raciones generosas: los rollos de tofu fresco, rellenos fritos, arroz frito de verano con diferentes proteínas, el arroz frito con res, la ensalada de fideos fríos , el udon salteado con pato a la barbacoa y la sopa 'hombre de hierro' pho. Estaba encantado de poder pedir una sabrosa sopa; no me habia dado cuenta de cuánto extrañaba tener la opcion de sopa en restaurantes / cafés veganos.

El servicio al cliente fue excelente y Khoi Tran, uno de los propietarios, fue muy hospitalario e incluso se tomó selfies con nosotros.

I have been patronizing Vinh Loi since their inception in 2019. Prior to that, I had always heard positive things about Vinh Loi's first location in the Valley. I feel I have been quite remiss in not writing a review sooner given the sheer amount of times I have eaten food from here. Now during the pandemic, they seamlessly transitioned their operations to maintain the same culinary experience and additionally providing vegan food products to enjoy at home.

What I love about Vinh Loi is how well made the food is. As vegans, we all know how accesible Vietnamese cuisine is for us and there are myriad examples of this reality in neighboring cities. What is unique about Vinh Loi is the balance between traditional and novel. You can get your chay staples or you can get some of the more inventive dishes on the menu and they will all be equally flavorful and enjoyable. Moreover, all this delectable food is quite affordable given the quality of the ingredients and the consistently generous portions provided.

The owner is also a very friendly and personable man. He maintains the highest standards of service and will always make you feel welcome. I have never left Vinh Loi with even a mite of a negative experience.

Overall, Vinh Loi is a stellar restaurant that is deserving of every positive adjective available and it is my sincerest hope that I will always be able to enjoy a meal from here during...
