Visiting from out of town, I told my friend: I just want a GOOD hoagie. Well, hero or hoagie or sub - whatever you call it - he brought me here. I am glad he did - it is a very unassuming exterior and location EXCEPT!!! THE HAT! Not only is the food really good and fresh (I got my 12" sandwich) - but this place doubles as a roadside attraction. A giant baseball hat serves as the awning. WINNING
Echoing what others have said - staff couldn't be more lovely, soup super good (I had the stuffed pepper soup -never heard of it before - now want a recipe).
ANd...a team of highschool boys came in as we were leaving. I figure if local teens are in a place - that is an unspoken endorsement.

It was good, but the amount of meat on the sub was kind of disoppointing. As far as we could tell, all the meat gets microwaved. Heard the door open about 8 times while waiting.
