My first experience here with my family was semi-enjoyable. When we were first seated, I found that the table was slightly sticky. Our waitress came around to take our orders for drinks, but she had a major attitude, like a stereotypical punk teenager. This really bothered me. The cost of the drinks were also mind-blowing. It was almost $4 for a milk with NO free refills. The free chips and salsa were pretty good, however. My family and I placed our orders for our main courses. The food my brother ordered ( the burrito supreme thing ) was so sloppy and poorly put together that it looked like a dog threw up on his plate, not to mention how chewy and greasy the beef was. The waitress brought me my quesadilla quickly, which was extremely hot, and handed it to me with no warning whatsoever. No "it's very hot", or "watch your hands". I grabbed it and burnt 3 of my fingers. It was very tasty; the best I had ever eaten; but I was gripping my glass of water the rest of the meal to dull the pain. The fact that she said nothing yet still handed me a plate that was hot enough to put blisters on my hand was shocking and outrageous. She didn't even apologize or ask if I was okay afterwards, though I was visibly in pain.
Overall, the food was delicious, the wait times were short, but the drinks were expensive and the staff had poor manners. Our family will most definitely be going to a different...
Read moreHad my first bad experience here so I'll adjust the review in a few months to reflect my better experiences that I've had. Still have to post honestly to keep things real. Also my last few visits have been disappointing.
We ate there yesterday around 6:30 in the evening with a party of five. Our drink and food orders were taken quickly but 20 minutes later, no drinks and they never brought out chips and salsa. I mean, that's the big draw there to make small talk while snacking on chips and salsa while waiting for the meal.
The drink orders were wrong. Food order was wrong. We were never given queso despite specifically asking for it. There may have been a language barrier with our waitress. But dang, if I'm going to drop a hundred bucks on dinner, I expect a hell of a lot better service than what we got.
I am blown away still that the ground beef taco I ordered had zero flavor. It literally tasted like ground beef cooked without a single grain of salt or spice. A few shreds of lettuce and 10 small chards of cheese, and you get an incredibly bland taco. No sauce???
One of the few times in my life I tipped under 20%. Feeling underwhelmed the last few times I've been here Montezuma's,...
Read moreThe food is bad, unseasoned, and bland. We ordered 2 dinner burrito combos, side of beans, Guac, piña colada, and horchata. Nothing tasted fresh, had no seasoning, not even salt, chips were oily, Guac was bland and only tasted of onion, no spice at all.
When we kindly sent 1 dinner back saying how we didn’t want to complain but couldn’t eat half of our food our server left the room and didn’t come out till we left. The host addressed us 30 minutes after our waitress left. He claimed we ate more than half the meal when there was one bite taken from each plate. We exaplained why we didn’t like it and he kept trying to make us pay for the food we didn’t eat.
Photo proof:
Though I liked the drinks, 1 of the burritos that was drowned in cheese, and the atmosphere, the service and the food made it so I won’t step foot in...
