We called an order in for takeout, they said it would take about 30 minutes. Standard. Got home with it and was not impressed. We got a half supreme, half Hawaiian-style, thin crust. We didn't realize "thin crust" meant paper thin. -_- The first piece we picked up fell apart. It didn't seem like it was even cooked toward the center of the pizza, and it was that way the whole way around. The flavor was decent, the toppings were OK, but the fact that we could barely pick it up with a fork, and definitely couldn't keep a piece together to eat with our hands, we won't be visiting this chain again. The garlic wings were decent- not much to complain about there other than they could have been a bit crispier. They were established in 1980 according to the box, but perhaps it is time to upgrade to current times, and ways of doing business? :-/

The staff here really are great. You can appreciate the customer service and how they really want to make you feel welcomed. Pizza is pretty good overall our last time here the sauce was a little sparse. Crust is thicker than I prefer and a bit too dry but that might be because the sauce was too little. Also one side was cooked browner than the other. Let’s say this go around inconsistent to how I’ve had them in the past. Ingredients though tasted fresh and I’d recommend their namesake special. Mozzarella stick were typical tasted frozen and deep fried ok but not outstanding also the garden salad is typical. The ranch dressing they use is very good btw. I couldn’t find tea to drink but they had horchata? Odd. It’s a good all around location.

We love Barro's pizza but our 2pm visit on April 24th 2022 left us very disappointed. There was not a clean empty table in the place. We had to ask for a wet towel to bus and clean our own table. We ordered a medium pizza and 24 wings. Sadly the pizza was overcooked and the wings were dry. When we were almost finished an employee came out with a big trash can and started busing right next to us. I can't imagine anyone who would think that appropriate. Is it store policy to bus with a big dirty, stinky full size garbage can in the main dining area? Once again we LOVE BARROS PIZZA but this store has really gone downhill because of the employees that work there. Very sad I have not received any response.

I went to the Germann & Alma School location last night at 7 p.m. with 2 other people. My sandwich came out in a reasonable amount of time. My friends went to ask about their pizzas after waiting 30 minutes, and were told "we just put them in the oven." No explanation why it took that long. The place was only about 1/3 full. Once the pizzas arrived, they both asked for forks and were told they didn't have any regular forks but could bring plastic forks. What, did people steal the other forks? There were several little things that add up to me not wanting to go back to this location. Payment was run as credit instead of debit, without asking my preference. I know that is nitpicky, but it gives the impression that management is desperate to cut costs since PIN-based transactions can sometimes cost the business more than signature-based transactions. When I filled my Diet Pepsi in the self-service fountain machine, it leaked water all over the hand that was holding the cup. Time to service that machine. Some "clean" empty tables had a sticky residue on them, as if they were wiped with a dirty rag and left to air-dry. There were small trash items like bits of food and wrappers for the plastic forks on the floor throughout the restaurant. Staff would walk right past them without cleaning up. When we left, there were three female employees standing at the register gossiping about something not related to work, so it seems they have time to clean. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food tasted good. It seemed to me that the staff don't care. Perhaps they are managed or paid poorly. (?) I'm trying to give them the benefit...

10/8/24 Updated Review

So wife and I visited yesterday (10/7/24) about 2 p.m. Had the amazing Lunch special, 2 slices/salad/drink special, Hot wing chicken slice/Hawaiian and was greeted by Lexi at the front counter. Again, awesome service and we will continue to visit our local Chandler Barros! Great job! Thank you!

I'm a born and raised Arizonian Phoenician, Barros has been a tradition in our family to visit. We have been to most of the locations around the state. The pizza and wings are excellent. This location on Alma School and Queen Creek has the best service and efficiency for the lunch rush pizza specials. The two girls at the front counter Dulciana and Melody make the line move fast and you spend less than 3 minutes waiting to order! I've been going here now once a month for lunch. The best thing is they both have fresh pizza slices coming out of the kitchen and nothing looks like it has been sitting around, the salads are always crisp and fresh and come with amazing dressing. Great work and thumbs up to the kitchen staff! The two girls gel we'll together and I hope everyone is leaving them tips because you don't see this type of service anymore around! Thanks Barros to our local AZ...

This place went from good to bad in a hurry. Been coming here for a few years now and im sad to say i wont be returning anymore. 30 minutes wait turned into an hour. Pizza is poorly prepared. Both consistent with our last few visits, long wait time and poorly prepared. Was few a lie at the counter about how they attempted to call us over a substitution but had zero missed calls. Worst of all is the customer service. Zero attention to the people waiting for food. Only concerned with new people while food sits on the counter. Also can over hear everything they say from the waiting area when they talk bad about the customers. Manager is no where in sight. People coming from the back dont look like they have any urgency to get people their food. Extremely unprofessional all around. After returning home and seeing the food, it has little bits of other stuff that people probably ordered meaning they arnt cleaning their prep stations. Part of the pizza is without any cheese and the garlic we ordered is in clumps making garlic land mines for us to find. People like myself have food allergies and this is a huge no no. I will most likely be in touch with the health board because it feels like this establishment is poorly run and has an...
