✨New Spot Alert✨ Sandwich lovers, have you been here yet? World of Sourdough is a Houston based franchise with several locations in Arizona. We finally got one Chandler, AZ sooooooo of course I put them to the test. Lol Watch my reels to see my thoughts! WHAT I RECOMMEND: 🔥 Italian Salad 🔥 French dip Side note, their customer service was excellent! Have you tried them? 📍 @worldofsourdoughchandler 🗺️ 2915 S Alma School Rd, Ste 5, Chandler, AZ 85286 #panthereats #chandleraz #chandlerfoodie #chandlerarizona #eastvalleyaz #eastvalleymoms #azfood #azfoodblogger #azfoodie #sandwichlover #sandwichbread #arizonalife #foodporn #azfamily #myphx #arizona

World of Sourdough is a delight and surprise. Great food, reasonable cost, nice clean facility, stellar fast service and very kind staff. World of Sourdough is an Arizona branch of the Sourdough and Company from Northern California. Speaking with management, they let me know the shop is the first of a number opening in the Valley of the Sun , bringing their historic and wonderful bread from the original sourdough batch originating in San Francisco. My normal modus operandi is to make 3 visits to a place before granting a review. This takes the guesswork out of a place being (or not being) consistent. So I have been going back to World of Sourdough this week not to meet my requirements, but because the experience was stellar. On my first trip, I ordered a heated italian sandwich, with the creamy mac and cheese side (which came with a piece of sourdough as well). This trip I ordered the #13 turkey pesto sandwich (cold) and a bowl of fire roasted veggy soup (came with a piece of sourdough again). The food, especially the bread, is absolutely perfect. The crust, the softness of the inside, the freshness, and the taste are all spot on. I love sourdough bread, so this was a delight. Regarding the bread, I learned it is fresh baked to perfection right in the store. The original sourdough dough is brought in daily from San Francisco (partially heated for transport). They then complete the process by baking each loaf when needed in the store. It's absolutely fresh when it hits your sandwich! Love it. The sandwiches themselves are stuffed full of the meats, veggies, cheeses, and sauces you specify. Great flavors on the stock list, but you can vary to your taste as you order. I loved the heated Italian sandwich, but the turkey pesto was also very nice, light, and perfect. I ordered the 6-inch sandwiches, and I am full all the way. I'm a big eater, so that is saying a lot. If you like monster portions, the 8-inch may be your huckleberry. The soup was super fresh as well. Great flavors, hot with no lilted and old veggies. Sandwiches come with a side spear of pickle as well, which I enjoy. The staff here is just spectacular. If the food wasn't so good, I'd have started with talking about the warm people here who make sandwiches faster than your aunt when you show up unexpectedly. The staff listened to the order being placed and was making it the moment the order was placed. The management and staff greet you kindly, respond to inquiries, and you never feel like they are bothered or interrupted by customers (something I've felt often in other sandwich shops). I love sandwiches, and I love sourdough. This place hits my top spot, not just because of its selection of bread, but because they execute the food prep perfectly, quickly, do it with a smile, and provide stellar customer service in store. I will return, and you should, too! See you there!

Excellent customer service and we walked in 15 minutes before closing. Our first visit here and we were pleased. Cobb salad was large, fresh and tasty; my husband only wished he had a bit more dressing (2 sauce cups were provided). The cup size of fire-roasted soup was hot, delicious and a hint of sweetness from the fire-roasting; some diced chicken would be a great addition to this soup. And we both had French-dip sandwiches which were very tasty as they were, good amount of meat and cheese, except our au jus sauce was forgotten. The sourdough bread on the subs and included with the salad was delicious and exactly what I want for my subs. We would both eat here again and already have other menu options we're looking forward to tasting, especially the chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Thanks to the helpful team tonight that guided us on our first order!

Where has common sense in the food industry gone? I'm a little nervous to try my food after witnessing the below health code violations in the 10 minutes it took to make my hot sandwiches.

I'm glad I wasn't eating a bread bowl today because the girl wearing glasses with red hair was cutting open the bread bowls and removing the extra bread from the middle proceeded to remove her phone from her back pocket, scroll through it and go back to clearing out bread bowls wearing the same pair of gloves she was just holding her phone with. Plenty of studies out there about cell phones holding substantial bacteria.

Also glad the guy in the red Nike hoodie wasn't making my sandwiches because I watched him touch his hair and hood to take the hood off then pick his nose and then throw a pair of gloves on and make someone else's sandwich. I guess I'm old school where I was taught if you're preparing food and you touch your face or hair, you wash your hands before you go back to preparing food.

As for the food, it tasted good but unfortunately both of the sandwiches I ordered came out wrong. I came in right at opening, so it wasn't busy but I can't imagine the results if you come in during the lunch rush. I ordered the brisket sandwich with NO tomato. Of course it had tomato when I got it home. Also ordered a hot pastrami with only mayo and swiss cheese and it was missing the mayo.

I really wish my initial visit to this location went better because I was excited for high quality sandwiches in the area only to be let down by the crew who can't perform in a low traffic environment and has no regard for food safety.

To the Admin over this location's Google Maps reviews: I don't want to call and talk to your store management and I don't want anything in response to my poor visit. Please know you only get one chance to earn my business. With the multiple strikes in one visit, there's no opportunity to regain my trust and earn me back as a customer. Take it as a learning opportunity to impress future customers and retain the ones you...

Went there today for lunch with a friend. Had never been before and read some reviews prior to heading over. I chose to keep an open mind, particularly about the cleanliness. While I didn't see anything related to health code violations, there were several things that made this a very "mid" experience for both my friend and myself. First, the young woman working the register seemed to be there against her will. Not friendly, not helpful, not anything really. Just a body taking orders and payments. I ordered the 6" caprese sandwich. She asked if I wanted "a pickle" with it. I said yes and ordered a small drink. The total for those 2 items was $17.49!!!!! When the sandwich came out, it was the maybe the size of a Taco Bell burrito. Not filled well, but just basic. Then the "pickle" was, in fact, 5 small pickle chips ie; slices, not a spear. That was it. For $17.49. The sandwich was "ok", at best. I kept thinking I could have gone to Jersey Mike's and gotten a stuffed 8" sub for about $10. The least the could do here is throw on some potato chips or something to at least try to make it a meal. I left hungry, disappointed, and price gouged. My friend had a salad and it was also just "ok" for her, too. We both agreed that we won't be coming back here again.

And, no thank you, I don't want to call and speak to a manager or anything. Everything I said in my review, I said. I also left my feedback on ways to improve. Nothing left to say. I just don't...
