This location is run like a lemonade stand. Their horchata is highly over seasoned, the carne asada is overly chewy and overcooked and half the time it's cold before you even leave the drive thru, and they charge you extra for things (like $2 for a half scoop of guacamole or $1.50 for a half scoop of sour cream) and don't even include it. They are now even charging for salsas. The external windows of the location are littered with written white notes and it is run by a bunch of teens. We default and go to this location because it is closest to our house they have nugget kids meals as well, and we realized (looking at the receipt) that they charge you for a drink with the kids meal and don't include one.
We were in a rush home after a busy evening and swung through last night, and we were charged $40 for cold food that resulted in food poisoning for my husband, myself- at 7 1/2 months pregnant, and one of our children, drinks with ice to the very top, and and no sauces or extra guacamole or sour cream that we were charged extra for. I called that night to say our food was cold and was missing things and asked them to address the situation prior to us eating and the phone "got disconnected " and they didn't pick up when I called back to remedy the problem right away. We ate (because our kids needed to eat and head to bed) and spent the night ill from the food, with lasting effects into today. I called again today, and was told I would get a refund (or replacement meal) if and only if I brought ALL of the food and drinks BACK IN, in their ENTIRETY to them today plus our receipt. What a joke. I'm highly disappointed and will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB, as well as spreading our experience far and wide. Word of mouth is a powerful thing.
I will say, the Filibertos franchise as a whole is a wonderful chain and we love their food- I will return to the locations in our old neighborhood and continue to dine there instead, as they are reputable, reliable, and their food is always delicious. (Elliot and Dobson or Guadalupe and McClintock are...
Read moreWe have frequented this location since it opened. Although it was far from the best of the chain, it was generally acceptable in terms of food quality and service. Over the past several months however, things have taken taken a strong turn for the worst. The prices have increased, the food quality, portion size and service have plummeted to unacceptable levels. Ordered a Carne Asada burrito that was small, barely warm and old. They clearly made a large quantity of meat early on and put it in a non warmed bin. Also ordered a chicken taco combo with super soggy tacos. We used to request that the tacos be wrapped and bagged separately, but now they say ok and just ignore the request altogether. The wait for the order was longer than normal and they seemed frantically disorganized. There is way too much competition in the area to accept subpar food and service. Going forward I will drive a little farther to one of the many other Mexican food establishments in the area. As far as my family is concerned this location no...
Read morehorrible service. i waited 20 minutes to get my food during a steadily busy time of the day. people came in after me and got their orders than left. While I was waiting I saw about 4 women behind the counter go back and forth doing nothing, drive thru was busy 2 cooks were cooking away the cashier was very slow and kept getting interrupted by the other women. All this time food was coming out and sitting there while women were walking back and forth-talking to each other over god knows what in spanish not paying attention to the orders being done. I saw an order sit there for almost 5 minutes, if it were me working I would of been scolded and fired for that. Also, while sitting there I noticed the place was dirty and needed to be swept and the salsa bar was filthy, again while all these women were walking around doing nothing they could at least do their job and keep the place presentable. I wont be going back, ever. I'll make a report to the BBB,...
