My boyfriend and I decided to go to Downtown Chandler last night, it is a normal for us. We have tried a good majority of the restaurants there. He said to me, I think we should go somewhere we have never been to before, try something new. There were probably 3 restaurants we could have picked. I always have heard such good things about the Hidden House, and always drive or walk right by it. I suggested that we just try it, if we don’t like it, we still get to cross it off of our list of restaurants to try. We start walking towards the restaurant, walk in. My first thought was, this place is STUNNING, right from the moment you walk in. We made our way to the hostess stand, where we came to meet Emma. I told Emma that we have never been here before so sorry if I looked a little lost. She welcomed us (actually meant it) & asked if we had reservations.. Immediately I got a little upset and told her no, I did not even think of it. She got to looking at the floor plan, and said you can follow me. She really just moved things around to make sure we could have seats. My second thought was wow, that was really, really kind. She could have told us to try back later, or said there was going to be a forever wait, but she made it work. She escorted us to our table and explained the layout of the restaurant while she gave us water. Once she left, we got to looking at the menu. It looked a little confusing, not going to lie. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy anything. Just as I was starting to regret my decision, Andy, our server came over. His amazing personality immediately came out. He explained everything about the food and drink menu. And let me tell you. He sold me. The food menu I was looking at before, all of a sudden, everything sounded so good. He helped me pick out a drink. I chose the strawberry daiquiri. Just by telling him what I liked, he picked the perfect drink. Andy was probably the best server I have ever had at any restaurant, my boyfriend being on the same page. He answered my many, many questions. His personality was everything. He recommended the pork chop to me, so that’s exactly what I got. I usually have to take leftovers home because I get full so easily, however. I finished that entire pork chop because it was probably the best pork chop I have ever had in my life. My boyfriend got the branzino & the cocktail draft, the House Rock (N Rye), and he also thoroughly enjoyed both. As we were finishing up, a lady asked us how it was going and if we were enjoying everything. I immediately recognized that she was a manager and got to spilling on how amazing our first experience was. Her name is Katia, and she was absolutely just the sweetest person. To sum up my first experience, PHENOMENAL. Starting with Emma making it happen, to Andy giving us the best dining experience, to Katia making conversation and being a meaningful human who actually cares. The food was absolutely fantastic, the drinks were very well made, and the whole layout of the restaurant is gorgeous. This is probably in my top 3 of the best experiences I have had in any restaurant. Highly recommend. Make sure to try to have reservations & try their many choices of...
Read moreGavin Jacobs and his partners co-owners of the Hidden House and Brickyard created the perfect staple in DT Chandler. I am not affiliated to this restaurant, so I disclose this review is 100% voluntary as I love dining here.
Hidden House is the perfect location to have dinner. We have dined here with our 9 year old “just because”, wonderful place for company brunch or a presentation in the back building as it has a stage as well. Now onto the food. I have to begin with the Seared Foie Gras we highly recommend. If the chef could serve a bigger portion of the cut itself, we would be in heaven. Chef Brent is amazing at what he does, and pairing that Foie Gras with the peach marmalade was a good balance with the texture of the whipped goat cheese. You will enjoy it. We order it every time. 💕
The drinks are fantastic! Michael is the beverage director there. He can recommend you anything under the sun. You can choose from a wonderful Old Fashioned (you can request many of the ones they have at the Brickyard too) or have an extra shaken Pisco Sour. I have been to Peru going every year, and their Pisco Sour is spot on!! 🙌 #wemissbobby
If you are a meat lover get the Ribeye. The first time I order this cut @ The Hidden House I was concerned as it is not a steak house. Well, my worries were okay. The preparation was perfect with the chimichurri. I preferred it when they didn’t slice my steak for me and served it on the board. The second time I ordered it was not as tender and more cooked than the first. I love a good tender cut of meat and when I say medium rare … I better be pink. Chef, next time don’t cut my meat. Not cool. Lol😉
Our 9 year old loves their Caesar Salads there, the truffled max and cheese 🧀 and the pork belly tacos. These you can also find at The Brickyard. Ask for the extra taco. You will be happy you did. 😋
Now on to the desserts. You can’t go to THH and not try their No bake Cheesecake. OMG 😱 the caramel whipped is amazing. So it is their cornbread and 🍯 but we prefer the cheesecake.
In closing, no matter what you order, what occasion or who you go with the Hidden House with… this place is the best place to try for a nice culinary experience and great service in DT Chandler. Katia, the manager is wonderful as well.
Best place ever!!! 👏🤍🫶🏼
P.S. Try the Brickyard in DT also if you like great food and good whiskey.

Read moreLovely front garden area. Was initially disappointed that our hostess seated us in the back patio next to a very non-descript wall next to the bathrooms and bar/kitchen walking pathway Kind of feel like those seats should just be removed because there's not much chance anyone would feel very happy receiving them. Could have made for a horrible experience considering what you initially see when walking into a beautiful front garden with spectacular lighting and atmosphere. We asked to move to the bar since we had sat there initially while waiting for a table. While sitting we noticed 4 tables for 2 open and seemingly available in the garden and we were bewildered by the choice of seating until the kind bartender (Conner, ty) offered to notify servers for us to be seated there. Food was great. Bone-in pork chop was great. Gf though more sauce was needed, while I found the balance of different ingredients to be excellent. She's a saucy girl, what can I say. I had the sea bass, and, while it was good, it was heavily charred on the skin which dominated the flavor once the small bits of puree were finished. At the price point, it was a bit of a let down despite it being a well crafted dish. The fish was cooked well, but the skin has too much sear to enjoy properly. Really solid place, albeit at a price point that argues for much stronger results. 48$ for sea bass should return zero issues, but it unfortunately didn't. Still would recommend others but might steer them clear of fish options for price/value ratios. Dessert was very very tasty. Boozy peach cheesecake is a winner. Lastly, shishito peppers appetizer was underwhelming. Kind of felt like those peppers were an odd choice for their size and texture and wasn't wrong. The jam and goat cheese on top were good, but we both felt the need to add them to our main entree to help make it more interesting after only eating a handful of peppers despite both being quite hungry. Not a bad idea, but shishito seemed to be the wrong pepper. Maybe paired with Anaheim for more body and flavor would be good? I dunno. It was a bit of an odd app. Overall, very nice space, minus the wall seats, and great food, minus the overpriced and under prepared ones mentioned. I'd be willing to revisit. Presentation of the food was excellent, gf has...
