Ruby’s Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Chanhassen

First visit tonight (3.1.25) for my son and I. I can assure you we will be back. Greeted right away, comfortable booth, Isabell was the perfect waitperson. Attentive, proactive but not overshadowing. While we were sitting there another family came in and the guy said hello to the people working… “I told you I would be back! And I brought my family.” Always a good sign when others are coming back again. My son and I ordered the breakfast anytime. Eggs were excellent, toast was tasty and the bacon was cooked to perfection.

Earlier today I had asked the Manager of the hardware store a few doors away if he had tried Ruby’s. He gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. He also added the hash browns are killer.

Service felt unwelcome when we went in. We tried to be very patient but we keep seeing other people getting their food and even finishing their food and paying for their food before we even get ours. We waited around 40-45 minutes for our food.

The server only checked on us once while we were waiting for our food and I asked what took so long for the food but instead she shrugged and food eventually came out few minutes later. Once we got our food, we only been checked on like once or twice. Later we asked for the check and asked again why it took so long for the food but she shrugged and just left quickly.

I had my first visit here this weekend. Went in for a late breakfast on a Saturday, so I knew it was going to be busy.

The staff are very polite and friendly. The food was good and the kids enjoyed their pancakes which had M&M's in them.

Chanhassen is certainly lacking in good breakfast locations, so it is nice to have this as an option now. I did find the food to be good overall, I didn't get the heavy feeling that some other breakfast serving restaurants tend to have. I liked that they did have some healthier options, not all comfort food options.
