Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ- Charleston, SC — Restaurant in Charleston

I really wanted to like this spot, as it is in my backyard and I love craft beer.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, and were the only patrons visiting. Food was served quick, but the sides were cold (cold food seems to be an issue after reading the reviews).

My real main concern was that we spent $17.00 on beer and literally had half a glass of drinkable beer. Some taps were completely out, and others were not calibrated correctly so all that was served was "beer head" aka - foam. I tried to share this with the staff, but they didn't really seem to address the issue or at least offer to comp some of beer head as that's all that we had served.

If you want craft beer - stick to one of the breweries or checkout the other self pour rooms in downtown that have the system calibrated correctly.

On the fence about giving this place...

I was DISAPPOINTED because working in customer service you should alway speak to your customer. The guy at the front did not speak are never looked up at all ! The food was cold the tea was out the cups was out, I had the nacho hotdog the chips that was on my hot dog were not fresh they had that old taste to it. I work at the hotel around the corner and I would not be recommended this place due to the lack of customer service my fries came out cold I was very disappointed...

Tried this for the first time tonight. The chili cheese dogs were what you would expect. Nothing too crazy or anything that stands out. I got the loaded tots too.
