To celebrate our 11-year anniversary, my partner and I decided to indulge in a special Chef's Experience paired with a wine tasting at Kiss Cafe. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance, with its lighting and décor, set the perfect mood for our celebration. The evening began with a warm greeting from the staff, who were attentive and personable throughout our visit. Their magic added an exciting element to our dining experience. Our meal consisted of several beautifully presented courses. The chef had clearly put a lot of thought into crafting a menu. Each course was thoughtfully paired with wines from their extensive collection, chosen to complement the flavors of the dishes. The sommelier was knowledgeable and passionate, guiding us through each pairing with detailed explanations that enhanced our appreciation of both the food and the wine. As the evening progressed, the courses continued to impress. The attention to detail was evident in every dish, from the creative flavor combinations to the precise presentation. The dessert course was the perfect ending to our meal. Throughout the evening, the service was impeccable—professional yet warm and unobtrusive. The chef even made a brief appearance to check in on us, which added a personal touch to the experience. Overall, our anniversary dinner was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of exquisite cuisine, expertly paired wines, and top-notch service made it a night to remember. For anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in a culinary experience that delights all the senses, this Chef's Experience is highly recommended. We left feeling thoroughly satisfied and grateful for an unforgettable evening.

Kiss Cafe in Johns Island, SC, offers a delightful dining experience that brilliantly combines fantastic food with a cozy ambiance, making it a prime spot for both locals and visitors. Nestled in a great location with ample parking, this charming cafe features an awesome outside porch that enhances the dining experience with its relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The culinary offerings at Kiss Cafe are nothing short of spectacular. The avocado toast stands out with its fresh, vibrant flavors and perfectly toasted bread that provides a satisfying crunch with every bite. Equally impressive is the shrimp quinoa bowl, filled with well-seasoned shrimp and a hearty, flavorful quinoa that's both nutritious and delicious. For those who enjoy a southern touch, the grits are a must-try; they're super creamy and cooked to perfection, offering a comforting warmth that's hard to find elsewhere. Adding to their already diverse menu, Kiss Cafe has recently started serving bagels, expanding their breakfast and lunch options to suit every taste. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or a light bite, there’s something here to satisfy. For real estate professionals looking to impress their clients, Kiss Cafe is an excellent choice for a post-showing lunch. The welcoming vibe and exceptional food make it an easy recommendation. Don't forget to try their sweet tea, which is the perfect accompaniment to any meal served here—sweet, refreshing, and brewed to perfection. Overall, Kiss Cafe is a must-visit destination on Johns Island. With its fantastic menu, charming setting, and friendly service, it promises a memorable dining experience that will have you coming back for more.

Opinion: As a Charleston resident for 3 years and a native to the low country for my first 17 (now 26), Kiss Cafe is one of the best restaurants I've been to. Service and setting while both admirable, their quality of care and consistency with their food is second to none. Fact: I had a dream about French toast the night before and arrived the next day at KISS hoping to fulfill that. To my delight a Tres Leches brioche french toast was on the specials menu. I ordered that with a side of bacon. The french toast's exterior was firm with a nice crisp, while the sweet cream tres leches gave the inside an almost stuffed effect. This is a change up from my favorite dish, their Kiss My Shrimp n' Grits, my vote for best in Charleston and one I can't recommend enough. The service has the stamp of southern hospitality only stymied by the fact that when a place is a bustling as this the waiters can and will have many mouths to feed. Be patient with them and they wont disappoint. The cafe itself is a smaller for its popularity but does have a nice outdoor seating area so if that's more to your liking definitely hop on that. This is one gem from the east coast I sadly can't bring with me to Orange County, CA.

I live in the area and have eaten there numerous times. For breakfast and lunch. I give it 2 stars bc the coffee is not that bad. But that is the only positive thing I can say about this place.

Ok. I am a food snob. However, just give me good simple food prepared well. Like at The Lost Dog. Am I asking too much? Perhaps I am.

First of all the service is not good. It never has been. You are always looking for the server for something. They never come over to see if you need anything. Just today my friend and I had breakfast, and the place was not busy. The server vanished and I wanted a coffee refill. She was nowhere to be found. My friend had to get up and find someone to get my refill.

Any food I hv ordered has not been good. I can make it better, I remember I ordered a hamburger and it was so greasy. I was shocked. I had ordered poached eggs once and the presentation was a joke. They put in a cup. Huh? They use a cheap type of bread as toast.

Today I ordered an omelet with tomato, goat cheese and avocado. Along with crispy bacon and a biscuit. Well. The omelet came flat as a pancake with three small wedges of avocado on top of the omelet. What? The avocado should be in the omelet. And omelets should be light and fluffy and rolled. Gordon Ramsey would hv a fit:). Seriously, I can make a better omelette.

Now it wasn’t busy, and my bacon was luke warm and so dry and tough that I could hardly eat it. It was like shoe leather. They pre cooked it. It was sitting there. No excuse. That was not crispy. And should hv been made to order.

The biscuit. I couldn’t believe they call that a biscuit. It looked like a large oval type of roll. And it was tasteless. I had no idea what it was. When I asked the server what it was, she answered it was the type of biscuit they make in the North. I’m from up North. I hv never seen a biscuit like that ever.

I can get a better breakfast at The Waffle House.

Each time I have eaten at this place I am hoping it will be better and it never is. Yet, they do business. I had to finally write a review bc enough was enough and someone had to write the truth. The food is sub par. And the service definitely needs help. For someone not going around filling your cup of coffee is sacrilegious when you are...
