Krazy Owls — Restaurant in Charleston

From the moment we walked in it was bad and only got worse. Let me start by saying I was in food and beversge for 25 years so I will cut places alot of slack. We were seated by one person. A second person brought us the menus. And then we sat. After 20 minutes after not being able to catch anyone's attention I walked up to the server chatting with her friend and ask if our server could come get our drink order. She said oh I'm not sure who your waitress is. A third person came up and apologized for our wait said no one told her she had a table. Ok no big problem. She took our drink and app order. Not too bad. Apps came out. As soon as she brought them we placed our dinner order. And we waited and waited. She came back around 15 minutes later and ask us what we ordered. Repeated ir back wrong. We told her again...then she walked over to the kiosk where they place the orders. 2 tables came in 30 minutes after us and we're eating their meals before we could get some one to get us a manager. As I explained the situation and got to the part about people coming in after us and 1 was thru with their food he said yes I know I saw ya'll. I'll take care of you. I said great how. How about a slice of chocolate cake? Told him dude I haven't gotten my side salad yet. He said I'll take care of y'all. Then food comes out well my husband's food. A few minutes later part of my brothers dinner. The part that came out was wrong. 5 minutes Later mine comes out and it is luke warm. Husband burger was good, brother never got his pimento cheese mac and the crab cake they forgot was burned when he got it. Then the bill came. The waitress had it in her hand and said the manager took 22.00 off. Great except the bill was 72.00 and it should have been 42.00 plus tax after the 22.00 off. After another 15-20 minutes they finally figured it out. And now my brother and I have indigestion. Go 2 doors down to...

The place is pretty cool. Very nice inside, a nice sized outdoor seating area with a bar and a place to have an acoustic player jamming. We came on Veterans Day 2021, around 730-745. Wasn't super busy which we didn't mind. Our waitress was great, (sorry can't remember her name but she was on point!) The mini corn dogs with beer cheese and the fried pickles were phenomenal! The salad was fantastic! The french dip was ok,but hit the spot. Having said that I gave 4 stars because the manager or owner, not sure which position he held, was walking past customers saying that "he still had to pay the live act and staff and that it's dead that night." (The comment wasn't rude or anything, it was just being stated to whomever he was talking to) I feel that's a conversation for behind closed doors. There is a 3% charge on top of your bill for using a CC. I personally don't agree with that. I understand that's part of running a business but as a patron, that should not be tacked onto our bill because of the contract signed with the CC services that this establishment uses. Also, with Charleston being a Military town there were no specials for Veterans Day. This place is in a great location, which many Veteran motorcycle groups ride past or can plan stops to have lunch, a drink, or just hangout for a bit but no specials, especially on a day like today. Stopped in here for late lunch on Sunday while visiting the area. The atmosphere was different and eclectic, but the floors were dirty. The high chairs, which were stacked and appeared ready for the next customer to use, had food hanging off the sides, and the bathroom wasn't clean either. We opted to sit inside as they were setting up outside for live music, and it seemed very loud. The light would randomly turn on and off where we were sitting. A male worker came by and changed the channel on the tv and commented about how dark it was. We explained about the light, and he responded "yeah its been doing that all day." He didn't check the light or anything. Now the food, they had a sunday special of 2 hotdogs with 1 side sounded good, so thats what I ordered. My husband ordered the madhatter burger without jalapeños. After about 10 minutes, I was informed they were out of hotdogs, ok, so now I ordered the blue cheese burger. Fast forward to we get our food. It was hot and looked good except my husbands burger was missing the pico and zesty ranc, so the waitress took it back to "dress" it. Brought it back only this time it had jalapeños on it as well. Given the experience we had, we will not visit here again and do not recommend...
