The only McDonalds that manages to be consistently worse than this one is the downtown location on Spring St! However, this review is about the Folly Rd location. The fries are old, soggy, and NOT fresh with either way too much or NO salt at all! I'm always asking for NO PICKLES and despite having it correct on the screen and on my receipt they actually leave the pickle off the sandwich maybe 20% of the time and when they do for some reason they also leave off the onions which drives me nuts! They never put the correct amount of cheese on my sandwiches and I love cheese so I hate that! Honestly without exaggeration, they get my order 100% correct less than 10% of the time, I go there. I've practically had to stop eating McDonalds (and I truly like McD's when I get a craving for it!) simply because IF they get my order correct which is rarely, it's often practically inedible!! Nothing about grilling the meat and assembling the sandwich is difficult; everything is automatically timed out for you from grilling meat to toasting the buns, to dispensing the appropriate amount of ketchup & mustard yet this place manages to consistently screw up more than one of those things on greater than 80% of my orders!! Plus it is always, always, always, unbearably SLOW! I'm talking, with only 1 car in front of me in the drive-thru it still takes well over 10 minutes to get my food and if there are 2 or 3 cars ahead of me then you're talking about over 30 minute wait time, every time which is insane when talking about what is supposed to be fast food! In the interest of being accurate, when I go there in the mornings between 7am - 9am they do always get my order correct, are quick, and the quality of the food is what it should be!

Read moreAfter a long day spent at Folly Beach, we had 5 hungry kids that weren't going to make it back to Surfside Beach without eating first. We went in because it would be easier for the kids to place their orders opposed to trying to figure it out through the drive through. My friend and I walked up to counter and were immediately told that they don't take orders there anymore and we must use the kiosks. We didn't have a chance to say anything because at that point he walked to the back. It took us double the time to use these than it would have to just have our order taken. After my friend's order was completed first, they then asked me what I ordered....so I gave him my receipt. He then stated that he already served that number....(we were the only ones in restaurant). I said no, must have been her order (my friend). She had ordered 2 (10) piece nuggets and the 4 sweet and sour sauces were forgotten. Not a big deal, she asked for them and had to show him her receipt and he argued that ten pieces only come with one sauce (even thought he kiosk made us select two per 10 piece and it was showing this on the receipt). He finally gave my friend her sauces and gave me my order. Same issue with the sauces and same argument. When we finally got to the car to get back on the road, we noticed a couple of the kids were shorted nuggets and even though we had paid for and ordered, we received medium fries not large. A lot of issues going on here....they could have been simple to fix as we had been to plenty of other restaurants that made slight mix ups or forgot something. Its about how the establishment goes about fixing their mistake. This one had employees with attitudes and employees refusing to take our orders any other way...
Read moreLast nite the mgr in duty “EARNEST” treated me extremely rude and a customer I was trying to deliver food too!! He should not be a mgt! He knows nothing about customer service and should not be a manager. (See his pic) Went to Folly road rd to pick up an order for a customer. He ignored me waiting at inside Ctr for 5 minutes and finally came over. He said he didn’t have my order and went to register to look it up. He demanded I hand MY PERSONAL PHONE to him when I clearly showed him the screen with the order number, customers name and what food was ordered. He tried to grab phone from me. I refused. I said I would show him it but he didn’t need to handle or take my phone. He walked away not taking care of me. He mumbled something after a few minutes suggesting the order was picked up. NEVER resolving the issue. I called DD Corp help line and they cancelled the order after waiting 25 min to resolve. They tried to call him. He would not take their call. I saw an employees pick up a phone and hang up on the call standing next to him. I called the customer. They drive to the McDs and texted me later that he also was rude to them!!! What a jerk!!! McDs. Get rid of this disgusting excuse for a mgr as he is not fit...
