In town for a middle school basketball game and went out to eat with our oldest who attends EIU. This is one of his favorite spots and I can see why. I'm a big fan of Mexican food but am also a very strict vegetarian. Tons of animal free options (including BBQ tofu that I didn't realize). [Edit 2/21/24: No BBQ tofu unfortunately. I read that from a review that was posted five years ago. The employees thought I was nuts and never heard of it. They have one or two bins of protein that looked like tofu. I don't, we just for the regular veggie items.] My wife and I got bowls, son and mother in law got burritos. Mine had white cilantro rice, black beans, onions, peppers, pico, corn salsa, guacamole, and lettuce. Everyone really liked their food. Although my MIL accidentally said medium instead of mild when she got to the salsa. Whoops. I'm extremely impressed at how clean this place is! Their dinning room is spacious and clean. The food prep line was literally spotless. They would clean it in between bowls/burritos if they made even a tiny mess. Greatly appreciated! I'll be back again. Fast and fresh food and not too expensive.

UPDATE AUGUST 2024: Went here twice in a week. I can say they seem to pile on the food again. I’m happy to see that the food still tastes great. May 2024 Update: Food quality is the same, however portions have significantly decreased over the past few months. They use to make the bowls so heavy with ingredients that I could eat half, feel full and save the rest for later (keep in mind, I’m a big guy and CAN EAT). Now, I don’t even feel full from their current portions on an empty stomach. Original Review: Fresh ingredients, great taste, friendly staff and amazing decor and tabling. If you haven’t tried this place, you absolutely need to. They’ve got a variety of bottled beverages and their fruit bowls while on the expensive side, almost always have fresh fruit. I highly recommend their steak bowls. They really pile on the ingredients for the bowl. Ever since I’ve first tried this place back in February 2023, I’m here at least once a week.

While visiting my daughter we decided to visit this restaurant for lunch. Large seating area to dine in. The restaurant is bright and clean inside. Plenty of parking in the back. Staff is friendly and professional. Food choices look a lot like Chipotle, but a few more options. Food tasted good. I will visit again if I am in the area.

Edit: I'm changing my review. I've eaten here 3 times, and I've noticed that the food is pretty bland without adding extra salsa. The problem is the massive amount of rice they give you. Here's my (maybe petty to some) issue though; the first time I ate there, I asked for 2 scoops of pico and 2 sccops of hot salsa. I paid the $1 extra for queso. No worries.

The next time I went in, I didn't get the queso though but got the two scoops of salsa. This time I was charged for extra salsa. A dollar. They don't tell you it's a dollar until after you got your food in the bowl. There is no "extra salsa is a dollar" on the menu anywhere.

When I asked about it, I said to the lady "the last time I was in here you didn't charge me for extra salsa," to which she replied, "I let it slide that time."

I don't know about y'all, but I've never seen any restaurant charge for salsa. The scoop I got was not that big. Normally places charge for things like chicken, and pork; a protein. Not a vegetable. Subway doesn't charge, Chipotle doesn't charge, Qdoba doesn't charge, why are you charging for a scoop of salsa? She said that the owner made it a thing recently.

Make it an un-thing and I'll change my review. But I'll only give you 3 stars because the rice makes the food bland.

Also, let's not have employees laugh when a customer brings a concern. Regardless of what the concern is. Be...
