Okay, folks, let me tell you about my absolute favorite hangout spot on Daniel Island - The Dime! This place is the bomb if you're into that local vibe, killer coffee, and some seriously tasty quiche. First off, let's talk about the food. Their quiche? It's like a warm hug for your taste buds. Seriously, I could eat that stuff every day and never get tired of it. And don't even get me started on their coffee - fresh, bold, and just what you need to kickstart your day. The vibe is just right - cozy, relaxed, with plenty of seats to choose from. If the weather's nice, grab a spot on their cute little patio and soak up some sunshine while you sip your brew. As a realtor, The Dime has become my go-to spot for everything - client meetings, catch-ups with fellow agents, you name it. It's got that perfect mix of professionalism and chill vibes that make it the ideal spot for any occasion. So, if you're in the mood for some good eats, great coffee, and even better company, do yourself a favor and hit up The Dime. Trust me; you won't regret it! #TheDime #DanielIsland #CoffeeAddict #QuicheObsession #LocalHangout #ChillVibes #RealtorLife #FavoriteSpot

The cashier was very friendly. The person dropping food at our table was not friendly. Literally ran away as i was asking about the chips that were suppose to come with the sandwich. We finally just went and grabbed a couple of bags from a rack. Maybe that is one way they save some dimes! The meatball sub is pictured below as it was served. No one checjed if everything was okay or if we needed refills. The sandwhich had a nice flavor and 4 small meatballs. This sandwhich is overpriced for what it is. A price of $10 or $11 would be more appropriate. At $17 it should be two pieces this size. It is one of the most expensive items on the menu for some reason.

Placed a take-out order from The Dime's website. My wife went to pick up order to find it was not prepared. My wife was told by an employee the order was placed incorrectly--not to use the Dime's website, but to use Chow Now. I called to speak to a manager and was told the info relayed to my wife was in fact not correct, it was OK to use the website as it all goes through Chow Now. I asked why my order was cancelled, no reason could be given (only hypotheticals). I was told if any ingredient in an order was not available, the order could be cancelled. Per the employee I spoke to, if I order a sandwich, a salad, and a cookie, and the cookie is out of stock, the entire order could be cancelled. I asked why I was not notified of the order being cancelled and was told it was my responsibility to check Chow Now to see if the order was cancelled. So after placing an order, before picking it up, I should log in to Chow Now and make sure the order isn't cancelled? Per my conversation with this employee, that answer is "yes". It is worth noting I do not have an account with Chow Now, nor is one required when placing an order on The Dime's website. The employee at the Dime said there is no way for them to contact me if an order is cancelled, as they don't have my information (the order form on the Dime's website requires email and phone number). Long story short, my order was cancelled, I was not notified, no reason could be given, and The Dime takes no responsibility for the incident. I was told if I want to make sure they get my order, to place a phone call and pay over the phone.

Update!! A manager, Genie, reached out to me and made the situation right. She was very kind and empathetic to my situation. Whoever runs the Dime should take note, Genie is the sole reason I will be frequenting...

We had a disappointing experience at The Dime today. We were in line at 11:15 and due to the long line, we did not make it to the counter until 11:40. At this time, after waiting almost 30 minutes, we were told that we could not order anything from the breakfast or lunch menus, that lunch did not start until 12 and breakfast was over. Our only option was to order pastries from the case. I have celiac disease, so obviously, the pastries were not an option for me. I explained this and asked if I was just out of luck, to which I was plainly told “yes.” We pled for flexibility and the entire staff told us there was nothing we could do. We wanted to take our business elsewhere at this point, but unfortunately, there were not other options close by that would offer the same grab and go experience that we were looking for. We came back in at noon and ordered from the lunch menu. Our food was good and the atmosphere is beautiful. Could be a great spot if they could figure out a way to not turn customers away for 30 minutes, especially after waiting in line for the same...
