10/9/23 6 pm: This is the place you are looking for!!! We walked in to great vibes and sweet staff! The menu is deliciously long — we chose the one trip salad bar and the ā€˜Citadel’ sandwich. Oh my. I think I just had the best sandwich of my life!!! The toasted whole wheat bread with the flavors of the honey mustard on the meats was out of this world good. Fresh lettuce and tomato on top to boot! The salad bar was seriously FRESH, with awesome options, and it was as good to eat as it was to look at — so good. Hit the spot! Fair pricing, super clean, and perfect for a quick visit or even to sit and stay awhile. Thank you for a LOVELY experience! We wish we lived like 700 miles closer!

Great little deli and glad I gave it a shot. There were tons of options for all types of diets. A full extremely fresh looking salad bar where they take care of the plating for you so it isn't contaminated by everyone just digging in on their own. Their baked goods looked great. Huge cakes! I was delighted with my reuben. Not the best I've ever had but definitely very good and let me know that my other 5 choices (because everything sounded great) will be worth a try. Place was very clean there always seemed to be someone cleaning something. Staff was very friendly. Cool memorabilia on the walls that kept my eyes entertained. Definitely a nice deli that I will be back to!

Eh, this is a tough review for me. Google says 3 stars = "It's okay" and 4 stars is "I liked it". Honestly, I wish I could this a 3.5. Don't get me wrong, the food is really, really tasty! It's just that the portions are pretty skimpy for the price. Almost $11 for a tiny sandwich and a small bag of chips, and a "bowl" of chili added another $7. Substitute fries or coleslaw tacks on further charges.Check the pictures attached to see for yourself. Price aside, as I said, the food has always been very tasty, and they have a wide selection of choices. The restaurant is always clean, and the employees are friendly. Salad bar is nice inside too.

I was a bit disappointed. It was me and my wife 1st time stepping into East Bay Deli. I told the cashier "this is our 1st time here" and usually as a customer you expect a reaction but we really did not received any. The cashier wasn't rude, nor friendly...nor helpful. After waiting for my wife to decide she ordered a Cuban, and I order the Reuben. Additionally, we ask to exchange both set of chips for cookies (cashier said ok) and we order some cake to go for the kids. We order one Red Velvet, one Carrot Cake and asked for one Carnegie Cheesecake to go. The establishment is very clean, and it is very well maintained. Our food arrived in a timely manner. The 1st thing we notice they both had chips. Now going back to the cashier and the exchange of cookies for chips, I knew she charged extra and I thought it was for the swap, no it wasn't, it was the full price for the cookie. We were not going to let some chips or two extra charges ruin our meal. Chips were a bit salty, and the meal also had a side pickle (which did not taste right). The moment of truth came, I am going to eat my Reuben. My sandwich was really good, it wasn't the best I ever had, but it was really good. My wife's Cuban sandwich was a diffrent story, it was overpowered by mustard. Cuban sandwiches do need mustard but when your mustard is oozing out of the sandwich we have a problem. Let's talk about their cookies. We got done with our food, we decided to eat our cookies. The cookies are really good. Let's talk about their cakes. Remember the order 1 Red Velvet, 1 Carrot Cake and 1 Carnegie Cheesecake. Once we got home we opened our containers. The Red Velvet was bland, the Carrot Cake was ok and instead of Carnegie we got Marble Cheesecake which was also bland. 😐... Now this get us upset, simply because the cakes are pricey and by pricey I mean the cheapest slice was 6.89. So yeah, to get two bland cakes, one incorrect and a decent one doesn't make it a great experience.

We try not to let the small mistakes bother us, but small things keep staking up. One Reuben sandwich cannot make up for all the mistakes made in this situation. Especially when I can get a Reuben at some...

These guys couldn't care less about earning repeat, loyal customers. This was unfortunately our first and LAST visit to East Bay Deli.

First off, the food is mediocre at best. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap...and did not expect that by "buffalo chicken," they meant cold, sliced deli meat - not the warm, sliced chicken breast like virtually EVERY other buffalo chix wrap I've ever had (besides fried tenders/nuggets). Yuk. The cheddar broccoli soup was literally a solid. Enough said.

Poor food quality and descriptions aside, the customer service at this place does not focus on actually pleasing the customer. When they brought our food out, the server said that they were out of cookies, so the kid's meal for my 2 year old would not receive one. Of course, this girl must have had no children because my daughter heard the "C" word and immediately started asking for one. I asked if they could sub for something else (such as the cookies in clear view on the counter). Her response was "Sorry, I wish"and she walked away. Hmm...so after our meh meal, I gave them a chance to redeem themselves and asked who I guessed was a manager for a substitution to the cookies they were "out of." She started yammering on about "Sysco missing a delivery" or whatever and ultimately was not willing to give my kid one of the "other cookies!" Man, those kid's meal cookies must have really been the cheap stuff if they can't swap for another type of cookie or the many cakes and dessert options right in front of my face at the counter.

The moral of this story: Practice some customer service if you expect people to come back and spend money with you. We will not be back and hope an owner of this establishment has a long talk with his staff on the basics of...

My boyfriend and I placed an online pick-up order around 3pm. The confirmation said it’d be ready in 10 mins. We got there not long after and went straight to the pickup counter, where our food was ready and waiting on the other side. There were a few people in line for dine-in orders, 1 girl at the computer and 3 employees standing around not doing much of anything. We stood at the pickup counter for almost 15 minutes without any acknowledgement while customers who arrived after us were taken care of. Finally I spoke up and asked one of the girls behind the counter (who by the way looked RIGHT at us multiple times and never said a word) if she could hand us our food. We had already paid and literally all anyone had to do was give it to us. She scoffed, rolled her eyes, handed us our food and walked away without saying a word. Sorry for bothering her? I had to reach over and grab my own drink cup because she didn’t even LOOK at the ticket to see if we paid for any drinks. We got home about 5 minutes later and our food was hard, cold and stale. My ā€œcheese friesā€ were a pile of dry French fries with a hard, unmelted slice of cheese on top. My sandwich had sat so long the tomato made the bottom bread soggy, and the top half was HARD as rock. Boyfriend’s soup was ice cold. I’m not normally one to leave bad reviews, because I’m in the service industry myself and I understand no one is perfect. But I felt like someone in management needed to know how slack their staff is. And that reminds me, there was no manager to be seen. I’m disappointed because I usually really enjoy their food. I’ve had delicious to-go orders. This was an unpleasant and...
