Vinny's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Charleston

We have had the pizza and wings before and enjoyed them. Sadly, tonight’s experience was simply not good. Our wings were not seasoned at all and the Old Bay wings were our primary reason for choosing Vinny’s! One of our pizzas was cooked well but the other was cooked far too long and had a burnt taste. Additionally, the burnt pizza had bacon that was undercooked and was not at all good. Finally, the app said the order was prepared and ready at 6:02. Upon arrival at 6:04, we were told it was being prepared and would take about 10 minutes. Thus, our overall opinion is the smaller pizza was ok but the larger one was not edible. The wings were plain ole chicken, certainly nothing to brag about. A completely over priced...

Food was good, i ordered alot of stuff. I especially loved the crust on the pizza, thin-ish but with a nice little crunch (even in the center), which is very hard to find (and i’ve been all over wv, md, va, ky, pa, and oh regularly)

The gyro was excellent, nicely seasoned with an buttery bready(?) exterior. The canolis are good too, nice crunch and filling.

Parking is very bad as there isnt much room to park or turn, but the food was excellent and decently priced, so its worth the pain of trying to park in the tiny lot.

The website its easy to navigate and i love how they have an option to order online, as i’d much rather place an order and pick it up during lunch at work vs trying to call in food when co-workers...

Some of our order wasn’t ours but it wasn’t that big of deal since there was one guy in the store trying to keep up with everything. The food was good but a little pricey for what we ordered. I’ve had better but I’ve had worse too, just mediocre Italian. Nothing really special.

Our second visit was terrible with barely edible salads and pasta. Even the burger that I got to take home to my dog had made her sick! This was my first time actually going inside the restaurant, and I would not be back. There is evidence of a German roach infestation, rodents, and the smell of old grease permeated the entire place.
