Rent-A-Center — Local services in Charleston

We had issues at Patrick street rent a center . So we came here to have them transfer our account from Patrick street to them , it was a breeze. The customer service was great. They made us feel special . The store manager Roger came out and met us personally which I really liked . We was looking at a bedroom suite on the floor he offered us a cheaper one that we actually liked better. I liked him offering us a better deal , most places want you to get the most expensive one . We ended up getting a tv to. Veronica is the bomb dot com. We will continue to go here and refer them to everyone . They will go above and beyond for their customers and it really shows. We wasn’t there any longer than 30 mins which is great for setting up two new accounts. And they have our delivery set up this week which is great. Other rent a centers had like a month waiting list to get deliveries which I don’t agree when you are paying for that...

Over 1 month ago, after submitting the online application to RAC- Rent-A-Center, I was charged a $54.00 fee for processing a wrap-around couch I had ordered. A RAC- rep confirmed over the phone my approval... I got a text message earlier today saying that the sofa has been delivered to the store and that it will be here in my living room by 3 pm today. I just got off the phone with them and they are asking for further information to determine my eligibility... such as 1. proof of income 2. request to speak to my landlord. 3. a 2nd 54.00 dollar fee... order placed over 1 month ago. Notice has been submitted to...

I wouldn’t even give this place a 1! They told us that everything we get absolutely has to be delivered. We tried to get a TV, but we were told it absolutely had to be delivered (which wouldn’t be for another week.) I’m not even kidding...literally at the same exact time they said we couldn’t take it home ourselves one of their “trusty customers” was hauling out a 75 inch TV. Last time I checked that was discrimination. I will never come to this Rent a Center again. They need to learn some professionalism and to not show preferential treatment...
