I have patronized this restaurant in the past and the food was good. Since I had eaten there before and knew the food was good I ordered a brisket sandwich through Uber eats. What I received was INEDIBLE AND COMPLETELY BURNT.
The brisket was completely burnt and hard as a rock and what wasn't hard and burnt was fat. I immediately filed a complaint with Uber eats with pictures. The restaurant was closed by time I received my food so I called the next day. I Asked to speak to a manager . THE MANAGER DID NOT SEEM TO CARE. She informed me that I should contact Uber eats. I informed this manager that I had pictures of the food and provided that to Uber eats although I had not received my refund yet.
However she didn't seem to care enough to ask me any questions or take any action on the restaurants behalf. She just kept telling me to call Uber eats. In which I informed her again I already had.
My family has been in the restaurant business for 40 years. We would never have a customer call with such a complaint regardless if they dined in or ordered takeout
We would handle it to make sure that that didn't happen again and that the customer knew that we cared. We would want to know what was wrong with the food and what we could do to make it right. Even if they got a refund from Uber eats.
We would never blow somebody off like she did to me if they called with a concern about food or a dining experience. Especially when someone tells you their food was completely burnt and inedible. I did not know at that point if I was going to get a refund from Uber eats so I thought if I spoke to a manager they could expedite it. She never inquired as to what was wrong with the food she just wanted to get off the phone and kept telling me to contact Uber eats
I filed a complaint with pictures to Uber eats and I did receive a refund later that day after speaking to the manager. However her total lack of concern was so unprofessional.

There’s a horrible smell in the restaurant. Told the bar tender and he said he couldn't smell anything and then said that his nose couldn't smell therefore he can’t smell anything. Totally dismissed my concern and walked away on his usual routine. Made me feel as he didn't care about my concern. It literally smell like spoiled milk in a sever way. I guessing he doesn't care we got to smell this while we are eating and drinking. If you're like me I'm big on cleanliness. Dont get me wrong its clean here and I love the place it just flat out stinks in here. Bartender made it pretty obvious that he has no concern about how the customer feels. They need to wash the place down with bleach. Its that bad and its. Plus BWB has been here for a long time, so it couldn't hurt.
My intent isn't to hurt this place but to encourage them to do something about it since tell them face to face...

Leftovers were given to my friends mom at home couple hours later and she was sick exactly a couple hours after her. I had to go to the hospital and we were all out of work, my friends 80 yr old mother still hasn’t fully recovered. I reached out to the restaurant, they were slack about getting back… called again weeks later and got a manager to call me back. He was nice and filed a claim with their insurance and said they’d be in touch. He did mention that they had a health inspection shortly after I was sick because a “lot of their staff was sick”, but they got a great rating. If they knew everyone was sick, I think they just got prepared for them to come and cleaned up. I wrote the manager back very upset once I learned that their insurance company wouldn’t help us. He kindly said there was nothing he could do and invited me back for a free meal 🤯. No refund for our meal, no compensation towards my $1,200 hospital bill… nothing!
