On my arrival at the restaurant I was being rushed in the Drive-Thru to place my order after I asked for a moment twice. Long story short my fiance and I had eaten a decent portion of our food when I noticed that bugs had been cooked into my hush puppies. After noticing that I called the restaurant and they told me that I only had two options I could get my food remade or I could get my full refund I chose a refund. Even though I chose to get my food refund it I still was made to wait an extra 10 to 15 minutes only to be told that I could only get my order refunded not the food that my fiance ate which is strange because we ordered our food on one ticket at the same exact time. You mean to actually tell me that if I found bugs in my food and we ordered at the same time you can't get a refund on yours unless you produce an insect no I'm not going to play the find the bug game this food was ordered there were bugs in it and it all shall be refunded. The young lady at the register was very nice to me the one who I had a problem with did nothing to help me and had nothing to do with my order upon me asking for my refund and they're giving me half of my money she actually had the nerve to take out her cell phone and called her manager I asked for her managers information and was denied it I was told I could not get the matters information to refund me all of my money and that I can no longer come to that establishment to order food because I found a bug. The Amazon shaped like A2 liter with curly fries at the register, the tall one, the female at the register that wore an excessive amount and amount of makeup was very disrespectful and rude. Upon me leaving she started ranting and raving with me telling me that she was helping me . I was always told that the customer is always right she had no reason to argue with me how she was doing by helping me by doing me a favor you doing me a favor by refunding the food that you made with bugs in it. I also overheard the Amazon explain to the others how they should not use Degreaser as a cleaning agent in the dining area because it was too strong this place is not so clean as they pretend to be there more unhealthy unsanitary and a danger to People's Health AND FOOD. The other customers were at the restaurant had no idea what was going on with myself because I did not want to make a scene but when the Amazon started to become nasty and irate with me then I decided to open the top of my plate and show the customers what they are about to purchase and all of them and I mean all of them left the restaurant and did not get their food. I have no problem being banned from a place that sells bugs and their food I have a problem spending my hard-earned money on a meal for me and my family and being put on hold for a long time only to be giving half of my money back and told I cannot be served at that location because I have a problem with bugs being in my food have a blessed day and do not eat at this place there unsanitary is unhealthy and they are very...
Read moreI will never return. This location has rude and dismissive employees and ownership that encourages letting a once regular customer know they don't appreciate my business or money and that's fine. I vote with my money by never going back and spending with people who care.
WHY: I came 3 or 4 months ago and today I had the exact same experience. I called in an order for a Shrimp/fish/chicken combo and was told it would be ready in 15 mins. I LITERALLY went to the grocery store after waiting ten mins before leaving my house. over 30 mins had passed (phone record) and once I got in and paid, it still took literally 10-15 mins to receive my food.
Before I requested the owner or acting manager, I politely asked the counter attendant why it took so long after I waited so long to call? I was snarkily told that, "it is so my food is fresh." Huh? I said, "so you wait til the call-in arrives before you prepare the food? She rudely and dismissively said "no but it was my okra?" I'm thinking to myself, these sound like terribly scripted answers coached by management.
Why would you A. tell people a time their food will be ready if this is a lie? I could have just ordered, sat and waited 15 mins. and B. Why disrespect the customer for your bad procedure, communication, and deception. I didn't lie to them. Quite the contrary. I arrived and paid as I promised.
I expressed to her after the rude retorts that I was not blaming her due to her defensiveness, and would reference the manager. She paused, side eye looked at me, and said, "do I want the manager?" I was so fed up at this point, I smiled and said "no, that's ok, I just need and extra tarter sauce,"..... just to see how it would be handled. She said, "That will be $1.03," mind you after I waited 45 mins for fish, shrimp, and chicken that takes 5mins for fish/shrimp, and a max of 15mins for chicken. (I've worked in food service before.) I paid her and left and as you can see, it bothered me so much I had to write a review, which I never do.
In summation....The food at this location is not bad. It's mediocre, but it's not bad. It's what I expect from a lower budget, chicken n fish dive restaurant scattered throughout the city in close proximity to ethnic neighborhoods. I didn't expect 5 star treatment. I did expect respect for my dollar, which I will never spend here...
Read more*DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD AT THIS LOCATION I was overcharged and when I called the manager Alexis was extremely rude and very unprofessional. When the manager about basically didnt know how to handle it. She was rude and very dismissive. Told me that the owner would not do anything if I called and complained. And that I probably wouldnt get anything back . In which she was the rude one. I told her that she was being really ratchet. She said "oh no you aint seen ratchet'". Very unprofessional. She said what do you want.... "you want your little $4 back or you wanting a desert. I told her that she was missing the point. It was beyond the money. It was about the poorest level of customer service that I ever recieved by someone in a managerial position. If you want professionalism this definitely is not the place. Because ALEXIS is in charge. And cares nothing about the reputation of the business. And the mere fact that she said the owner Chris wouldnt do anything and wouldnt care let's me know what type of person the owner is. Alexis is very young and has absolutely no clue as to how to handle conflict resolution nor can she handle being questioned. I wouldnt recommend this location to my worst enemy. DON'T USE YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD AT THIS LOCATION. I wish I could have given them half a star. They don't deserve a full star. Chris better get some professional adults to be in charge of business while she is out recovering from child birth. Or she want be in business because that ratchet manager is going to ruin her business....
