Cocktail Highlight: Clarified Malted Milk Punch is a testament to the skill and creativity of the Chiefs' bar team. Made with Southern Star Bourbon, apple-spiced tea, winter spices, orange & lemon, and malted milk, this drink is a silky-smooth, well-balanced fusion of warmth and brightness. The spiced tea complements the bourbon’s richness, while the citrus elements add just the right amount of acidity. The clarification process gives it a clean, velvety texture, making it an effortlessly drinkable yet complex cocktail. A Cozy, Elevated Experience—One of the standout aspects of Chiefs is its very cool vibe—a perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. Sitting by the fireplace in four club chairs, the experience felt both intimate and effortlessly stylish. The setting created an atmosphere that was warm, relaxed, and inviting, making it ideal for both a casual evening and a refined night out. The service was excellent, with a staff that was attentive without being overbearing. The team was knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations while ensuring a seamless dining experience. Read moreWell I've been waiting for someone to break the $16 barrier for cocktails in our area and unfortunately the drinks, service and atmosphere don't warrant $19 for a run of the mill drink. I ordered the cynar boulevardier off the classic menu. It was ok. Nothing special and not anything I couldn't also get at any other bar in noda/villa/optimist for $14. Cynar isn't special anymore, and not to sound like a jerk which I'm sure I do, hasn't been special for a decade now. Also it's made with mid level 1792 bourbon and mid level vermouth so really just feels like a big swing and miss price wise. My wife got a drink off the special menu and the mix of "popcorn and sherry" just didn't work for either of us. I hate being negative to a local business, but the prices are way out of alignment with the service and atmosphere. It's not that the service/atmosphere was bad, but to charge $19 for a drink, you need to differentiate yourself from all nearby competitors. I better leave feeling impressed by everything and this time I didn't. We ate no food on our visit, just decided to go to growlers instead after the two drinks just didn't leave us...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place but was unfortunately very disappointed. A couple friends and I tried Chiefs around a month ago when it was well into Spring already and they still had their Fall menu and no Spring or Summer options available. They were out of the first couple drinks we tried to order, which is ok but on an already limited menu, was pretty disappointing. The only word I can use to describe the service is weird. The host was ready to turn us away without asking if we had a reservation, which we did. Even though the place was practically empty. Then our server asked if it was our first time visiting and when we said it was she just gave us a blank stare and said “ok.” I’ve worked in the service industry before and would’ve expected a greeting, or a quick menu rundown or something. But was just met with an “ok” after she asked if it was our first time. She was very short and not friendly at all. The drinks themselves were decent but definitely overpriced for what they were. The vibes and aesthetic of this place were actually nice so the potential is definitely there, it’s just not living up to...
