This location has really good food! What I can say, is I've never had a bad food item here, just avoid the soft drinks, especially later in the evenings if you can.
I returned to the window with a flat drink once, (Pink Lemonade). I heard them shouting for someone to exchange the Pink Lemonade & Fruit Punch because it was out. They closed the window while I waited for a new drink. I heard a drive-thru customer order a Pink Lemonade as well & they hadn't even changed it out yet, but still proceeded to make, another flat Pink Lemonade & ship it out the other window to him. All the while, yelling it needed to be changed. Yuck! Gross!!
I honestly need to stop ordering drinks out anyways, due to those machines have tons of mold if not cleaned regularly. But, when I try not to order a drink w/ my tray, they say "I must" even though it clearly says on the signage on top of the menu that drinks are optional & a bottled water can be included instead.
On the plus side, whenever I order from here, my food has always been prepared fully cooked & to my liking. With a 1-2 time exception they've forgotten or shorted me an item.
They have always hastily replaced or fixed the mess-up as well. I can absolutely appreciate that. Especially since no one wants to waste their hard earned money. Not even if it was easily earned.
I think they do pretty good as far as fast food is concerned. Am I always going to get my food perfect on the 1st go round?
Maybe...Maybe Not...
Things to consider: It depends on how slammed they are. Or if they're short staffed. Time of day matters. Who's working that day, adults/teens/ppl training/first day on the job.
So its very important to check your food before leaving the premises... Always. & not just here, any restaurant you visit honestly. But especially surrounding this location.
A HUGE Warning- If you do stick around to check your food here, & that's all you're doing, you might expect a young, sandy haired fellow, about 5'6" - 5'10 to approach your car, w/ a knock on your vehicle window. (Usually after dark, especially weekends, but any day of the week is possible.) He will say he is Security. I'm not sure if he secures the actual Restaurant or just the Parking Lot like a Meter Maid would, however he caught me off guard because he was dressed down in regular street clothing, & if "Security" was branded anywhere on him I didn't see it. Due to me quickly choosing a low light parking spot because all other spots were taken & I didn't plan on being there long.
I cracked my window, very minimal because I was alone, & as a young woman I didn't feel comfortable. He shouted very loudly, "If you're not checking your food, you can't park here!"
Thankfully I was doing just that, & this was how I found out, my P. Lemonade was complete seltzer water.
I also saw him another evening, I do recall it for sure being a weekend, he was directing traffic as to which car could get into which drive-thru lane. He wouldn't let us drivers/customers choose for ourselves. I am not absolutely certain it was the same guy, but I do remember a Security vest & hat that time.
Otherwise, I do feel that time, his services may have been necessary due to the after club commotion I sometimes see as I ride past . It seemed to keep things organized & help with the chaotic atmosphere.
Lastly, you never know what type of service or attitude you're going to get at any window at any given time. So don't have any expectations. Just assume everyone wants to go home & no one wants to be at work.
Know your order if you can, & have your money ready. Please taste your drink before pulling off or...
Read moreI agree with another reviewer. The food is not the same than when Cook Out first came to Charlotte. Didn't you have a real turkey burger before ? That needs to be brought back on the menu and it needs to be quality meat not a processed patty. You have definitely changed the meat. I can no longer eat the burgers as it makes me sick to my stomach. Sometimes even the chicken sandwich makes me nauseous half way through. I haven't figured out if it's the mayo mixed with the cheese or if it is just the meat itself. Amazingly the BLT was decent, Most of the times when I want a late night cheat meal, I'll just get fries, onion rings, hush puppies, tea or definitely the milkshakes as they are the best. It would be nice to offer at least a small quality salad or something healthy on the menu. Plus you have alot of kids working there. Although it's good to see them working and earning a paycheck, I think they need additional training because there often are times when they are acting like they are in HS recess vs on a job. I feel sorry for the overworked Manager that has to put up with that staff. Maybe corporate should come down and work a few shifts themselves and see what we reviewers are all talking about. It's a mess and it...
Read moreI have never gone to this location and been happy. Usually my order is wrong and just whatever old food they are trying to get rid of. There's always a wait and rude staff. I figured maybe I'm just a complicated order. Always steak style burger tray with ranch wrap fries and cheerwine. I'm trying to figure it out. So I went through once and thought I'll make this clear and easy. I ordered a regular burger with everything on it. The girl even asked if I wanted to add cheese and tomato and I said yes please. I was so excited because my fries and wrap were fresh. I tell my husband too soon how happy I am that they didn't mess up this time. I was soo wrong. I open up my burger to the biggest middle finger.. Nothing on it. Not even sauce. Meat and bun. I thought man if she didn't hear me then why would she ask about adding tomato and cheese. I checked my receipt with shows I even paid extra for both. I'm so lost and confused. Update: swung by again because I hate myself. While waiting for our food two other cars came back that had gone through the drive thru. Their food was beyond messed up. Fully raw hamburgers. I'm guessing those weren't fun...
