Was en route to meet my wife for dinner tonight on 6/9/2019 and while on the phone with her she was approached by the cook in the parking lot asking her in a rude way to either come in or leave, and we she responded saying she was waiting on me to get there, that no she wasn't going to get out of the car and come in right away. he responded that he wasn't going to cook for her anyways. Also insisted that she had been there for longer than 20 minutes. She has proof, in video and I was also on the call when this happened. she started recording because she felt threatened and this is complete case of profiling (unfortunate that it's a drug-ridden area but you can't just assume and start profiling people especially good customers) it's also unfortunate because we tip very well and that includes the cook.We can find another waffle House to go to, but my gut feeling tells me this is happening more often than not to completely decent good customers, and it's killing your return business dramatically. the video was forwarded to the local news station, so he may have just become famous for being the rude and terrible person he was being to her. honestly if he was sent out by management to do their dirty work it's sad that he would continue this cycle of profiling somebody because of their color of skin what they drive or even what they look like (mind you my wife is very well put together, speaks proper English, and works in customer service so she knows how to speak to people when they approached her in a negative way) I'm disgusted by this experience and even more so upset she was treated like that while waiting for me to show up for dinner. also it can be proven by their cameras and as well as her GPS location timeline through google that she wasn't there any longer than 3 minutes and she even mentioned this to the gentleman and he said " you've been out here longer than that, and that's a fact. see you can get the hell on out of here I'm not cooking for you" really need to stop treating people this way and it's eventually going to cause them to end up in a lawsuit. for us it's not worth the drama but I really do hope our local news station shows the way people are treated when waiting for a significant other or any other person dining with, to go into a restaurant. this is absolutely insane and should not be operated in this way, if you have a problem with somebody in the parking lot call your local police department to do their job. Its when people start doing other people's jobs it is then that they look like an idiot and completely incompetent employee, let alone a...
Read moreHorrible experience- it took literally 7mins for me to be waited on. No one was visible, but there was a ghetto cook, pants hanging off his butt , organizing eggs in the back. He looked up twice and did not acknowledge me at all. I noticed a server walking from the gas station and she walked in and didn’t even acknowledge me. All she was worried about was a tip, I guess her customer left her previously. After she cashed out the ticket then she ask if it was pick up or a call in. Dumbest thing in the world because who was going to answer the phone. She clearly walked across the street to the gas station and clearly the dirty butt man in the back was not trying to work. I’m so disappointed and will never go back. You can tell that with their attitude they will never get a job into the corporate world. As a manager working at a major banking institution I would not ever give them a chance because their work ethic and professionalism sucks. You still have to be professional when dealing with someone’s food. Just having the basic customer service skills is fine with me. But just picking folks off the street to cook and take a order for consumers still need to be successfully trained. Managers of these waffle houses need to restructure their staffing and do serious background checks. You lost a customer, and I’m sure plenty more, especially at this...
Read moreI come here all the time, but today the staff was awful. I waited 30 minutes after my order was placed, and I still ended up leaving without any food. I watched them package my order and then sit it to the side to make waffles. At the end of it all, the order was wrong. I had no bacon or gravy. I tried to tell the server, but was met with an attitude. He told me he couldn’t help that he’s the only one packing orders, and told me he would add the bacon and gravy. He walked away and told his teammate I was waiting in a waffle. I tried to correct them both, but they replied with more attitude. I told them I didn’t understand why my order sat on the side for 15 minutes- and was done wrong and I still can’t correct even though I’m standing right here. I told them “never mind”- and walked away. They yelled at me on my way out “have a great week!” Customers standing by took offense to it as well because they had been waiting much longer than I have and had the same issues. To see the servers reply so sarcastically was insulting considering the fact they we’ve all been waiting in spite of the attitude. We were simply hungry. Please do better. My professionalism would not let me stoop so low to offer a nasty reply to your nastiness. However, please try to be courteous to people. After all, we just come to buy the food you sell. Isn’t that what we’re...
