October 2021. What is up instafam - it’s ya boy JT and we is back at it again. Mops and I came on a Friday evening - and occasionally, about 2 Fridays a month, there is an open mic/karaoke 🎤 thing that goes on, which was pretty dope. Their music selection was pretty 🔥. Service was great and food came out quick quick. You’ll see someone roaming the premises in a suit-ish, kinda decked out look - great, funny, engaging guy; that’s the GM, Devin. He funny as hell - and so is the rest of the staff, upbeat and energetic to the music and just in general. As for good - we got the fried calamari 🦑 , shrimp 🍤 po boy and fried fish 🐟 basket. Le calamari was good, but had a little bit more breading than I anticipated - regardless, they still had a good portion for their price. The shrimp po boy was great as well - however, I think only 4 shrimps is not enough.. it was still good tho, I probably won’t order it again though, maybe try ordering extra/or asking them to add extras for a bit more $$… the shrimp are pretty good sized though.. ugh your call - it’s good though. Fish 🐟 basket was good though, super crispy. They have a selection of either French fries 🍟 or sweet potato fries that go with baskets/po boys - both which were really good. The food was very affordable and 3 dishes for us may have been a little too much imo, but their serving sizes are great. Shoutout to my waiter too - Rodrigo, awesome g. Food was underseasoned and manager made Us feel bad for asking him to remove one of the boils that we did not even eat we did not eat it because it wasn’t seasoned well he goes to say that the restaurant has the cost a lot of money for seafood and they’re only going to throw it away so I will be ordered if we weren’t going to eat it and this is our first time coming after telling him things I need it off of the ticket he only took off the middle and try to pretend you didn’t hear to takeoff the additional sauce that he charges for that went with the mail that we didn’t eat when I got to the front I’m looking for him the bartender asked me was I OK as my face was construed as she says oh I got a nasty attitude but I was never talking to you and I was never direct my energy to you it was to the person who was trying to argue with me as a customer who wasn’t coming to him hostile about a platter that I did not enjoy make a long story short I will never come to this restaurant again we still gave the waiter at $10 tip which was not deserve that he was very dismissive in regards to the issue he just kept passing it onto management long story short a NO for me. Read moreLet me start by saying my husband and I are HUGE fans of Crab Du Jour on Chancellor Park Drive. We frequent them often. We decided to give this one a try because it’s closer for us. Well, that was a big mistake. Before I go into the negatives I will give the positives. Our server was good and so was my cocktail. The location is nice and the restaurant was nice and clean. Now, let’s get to the food. I ordered the crab legs and shrimp boil and I added sausage. My boil came out and guess what…the temperature of the food was barely warm. The corn was hard and clearly not done. They didn’t add my sausage so they had to bring me some which was fine. They brought out my sausage on a tray. The issue with that is I had already dumped my food in the pan so I couldn’t place them in the bag to get them good and saucy. This happened to me once at the Chancellor Park Drive location and they brought my sausage out in its own bag with it’s own sauce.
