All-You-Can-Eat" is a Misleading Promise My experience at this restaurant was disappointing and made me feel unwelcome. While the buffet is advertised as "all-you-can-eat," the staff's behavior suggests they actively discourage customers from getting their money's worth. From the moment I arrived, I felt judged. Staff members openly watched my plate as I took food, which was very uncomfortable. To discourage refills, I was intentionally seated in a remote area of the restaurant, far from the buffet. Furthermore, it seems they use other deceptive tactics: Small Plates: The plates are unusually small, forcing you to make frequent, conspicuous trips to the buffet. Slow Service: Refills for popular items were slow, making me wait. Repurposed Food: It was clear that leftover dishes from Saturday were being served again in Sunday's buffet. This restaurant does not deliver on its "all-you-can-eat" promise. The combination of uncomfortable staff behavior and what seemed like deliberate tactics to limit how much I ate ruined the experience. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for a genuine buffet experience.
The below is after I got a reply from the restaurant owner:
I saw your reply to my review.
Next weekend, I'll be returning to your restaurant to record a video that documents the behavior of your staff and management. I hope to expose the stinginess and greed of your business owners. If you have cameras installed, you should review your staff's actions. I personally witnessed your employees whispering and murmuring about a guest who took a little extra food on their plate. This happened to someone who added a bit more to their biryani. I saw your staff look at each other and talk about the guest's actions. This behavior is...
Read moreI love Indian food and normally go to my fav Blue Taj in Ballantyne but thought I would give these guys a try. Since there are a block from my house. I hate to give a bad review but I have to say very disappointed. You walk in there’s one person that’s waiting on all the tables, bartending and hosting. I ordered chicken tiki marsala which is my favorite at blue Taj Ballantyne and how could you mess that up so …,I ordered level three since it’s one to four spice and when the food finally did come out which took forever it was literally so extremely spicy, I could not eat it and not anything like the chicken tiki marsala I’ve had. I got this tiny bowl of rice and chicken with onions , large chunks of green peppers and a bad spicy very thick tomatoe pasty sauce and zero naan bread so if you want some you have to buy it which is another $6 and the bread smelled strange so I figured if I wanted more rice to try it eat this spice pot that would probably be another $6. When he finally ask how was your food I couldn’t stop coughing and choking from all the spice So I said this is extremely spicy and he just laughed and asked if I wanted a soda like clearly I already had a drink. In ended up to go boxing and we’ll go home and add yogurt to bring the spice down and see if that makes it Edible. The place looks like a dark brewery just a bunch of long tables no class/Ambience at all. Just a large projector with Indian dancing. $17 plus another $6 for bread , tax and tip totally not worth it. I will definitely stick with blue Taj hands down 100% better food and classy elegant restaurant great service and you do get free naan bread with meal and generous portions and they ask you if you’d like more rice and bread lol Sorry Dakshin not a fan...
Read moreOne of the most disappointing place you can think to go & eat . Services are beyond horrible and food is average. I regret having my son party there. We had bday party organized on last Friday 06/21/21. We have been charged gratuity of 18 % and also cleaning fees of 150$ and have been told we will provide all services, a person would be dedicated to help you with food stuff and also regularly clear up the tables taking plates away. None of these happened.. At first when we reached, the space we have been was not on good order. I had to personally move stuff out with help of my friend. There was no trashbin, one they provided then there was no one to clear it up. Our guests couldn't find bin to put plates.. I had personally removed eaten plates from table for next set of guests. I had to followup with them n number of times to get things setup. Regarding food we asked to arrange by 5.45 but it was not ready until 6.45..Couple of items including naan, vada were soggy because they covered with foil when it was hot, they running restaurants and doesn't even know basics, very average food..i saw couple of customers also cribbing and Arguing with them on delaying orders.. I am feeling sorry for organizing the event and One of the worst experience. I don't recommend anyone to this restaurant.. Go at...
